Labor was--rather horrendous (isn't it usually?) with something like 40 hours of contractions and then when I eventually got an epidural it made my legs feel like they were freezing in a bucket of ice water (weird). Pushing was not as bad as I feared (we knew he was big with a big head so I wasn't feeling very confident). He started out posterior (something all my babies do, must be the shape/tilt of the uterus) but once the midwife got him turned everything went fine. I'm just so glad to be on this end of that ordeal!

Ouch ouch mama! I have had three of my four vaginal birth babies be posterior for most of all of labor, it's just terrible. And he is a BIG boy so I can see why it went exceedingly slowly. I'm so sorry about the epidural kerfuffle, with the weird shivery feeling. Yay for good midwives though!

Happy baby moon!
