My Dad Died

Recommended Posts

Yes, this. I'm 53 and married to an awesome guy, but I still look at my parents as my buffer against the world.

I've come to realize that as long as they are healthy and non-toxic, we're never old enough to lose our parents. I'm sorry for your loss.

No, thankfully he did not seem to suffer, and I am grateful for that. He was sick for a relatively short time and died of kidney failure because he did not want to eat or drink for several months (wasn't hungry), and so his kidneys gave out. He was 6'2" and 108 pounds when he died, but refused a hamburger near the end of his life, joking that he was too fat. But he died quietly in his sleep.

I hope that he did not suffer. Our condolences to you and to your family.
