i cannot "Like" your post but I will include you and your family in my prayers.  I suspect his symptoms might be caused by different problems, one of them which may be Dementia.  I hope you and your family and your DH will be OK.  It sounds like he needs to be hospitalized and if so I hope that will happen tomorrow when he goes for that evaluation. try to relax and stay sane. Take it one day at a time.

I am so sorry :(

I hope you and your children get some peace and that your husband is safe and able to get some help. Does he have access to disability resources of some kind?

People who have lost the mental capacity to manage their own care fall through the cracks so easily. There just is no good path forward.

We're doing OK. The teens are clearly more lively today. I didn't sleep well, but I bought a sandwich that bothered me.

Everything feels different of course.

Thanks for the update. I'm glad your teens are doing better, but I'm sorry your sandwich didn't agree with you. Sometimes when I'm upset, everything I try to eat makes me queasy. I hate that. :(

I read post #1 again.  I think the ER should have called in the Psychiatrist who was on duty or on call and kept him there, yesterday. But, possibly that hospital does not have a Psychiatric section.  I hope he will go to the appointment tomorrow and that he will get treatment, immediately.  GL to him!

It was a small community hospital. DH was so charming that they kept questioning if it was really a crisis or not. An hour before he completely different.

I had to demand that they do the CT scan, and they finally agreed.

By that time they gave us the CT results, he said he was fine and wanted to go home. They said OK.

Then it went downhill again in the car and at home.
