  1. I go by height. My 10 is 5'6". I let her sit in front.
  2. I'm so sorry you"re disappointed. We want them to shine but if they don't want to you can't will it. As you said, he's not a horrible person. In the end that is far more important. Hugs
  3. Neither I nor my dd's started buds bilaterally. There was/is obvious assymetry. I would be watchful but not panic. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  4. I'm appalled. The best thing about scouts (in my area anyway) has been the inclusiveness. The boy's troop has had low IQ kids and autistic kids, my son being one. It was one place to actually belong. This makes me sad. Off to read the article. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  5. Yes. Not a mess that would take long to clean up though. We all have our comfort levels. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  6. In a lovely suburban school it caan be quitee niice. In an urban, underfunded school it isn't so pretty. An underfunded rural district has another set of issues. Much also depends on the teacher. Posting a stock photo was a bad idea. In her position I'd say the less Twitter the better. Her devisiveness won't benefit from too much social media. 7. My oldest dd is a teacher in IN. She makes a smidge over $34,000. She was a straight A, graduate college in 3 years, volunteered in kids programs kid. A bright person they should be striving to keep. Instead she has endless meetings after school, no support for the 8 dx kids in her classroom, the school is out of paper and she buys food and shoes for her students. I suspect she, like many teachers, will leave the profession. It's not the money, it will be the burn out. She is psychologically exhausted. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  8. Hugs. You have my sympathy. My eyes have sun damage so the tears can't spread. Eye drops sort of do nothing. It results in my eyes constantly being dry and "sore" like I haven't slept in days all the time. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  9. Actually, it has been fine. Snapchat has made communication quick if wanted. I find it hard when they come home and it's not their space or their habits or their food and they are bored. Guess who's dd is home on break [emoji11] hang in there. It is early and changes are hard. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  10. I am so, so sorry. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  11. Oh no. Very rough. Quick healing vibes. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  12. Just reading the prep fills me with horror. I've put it off five years. [emoji44] Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  13. It sounds like a guy trying to be "cool" and "edgy". I don't mind a slipped in word but swearing at my kid, or me, is disrespectful and unprofessional but you saying so probably won't stop it. He's created a character "the passionate director". Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  14. This truly depends on the school. My oldest dd teaches inner city 5th grade. Even assaulting a teacher w I'll not get you suspended. The variability among schools is crazy. The elementary school my kids would attend suspended 1 student last year. What schools are kicking kids out for meltdowns?! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
