When my daughter died and people expressed sorrow and told me, "If there's anything I can do, let me know"...I had no idea of what to tell them. There was nothing any of them could do, you know?!! I really wish that I had asked people to find whatever pictures they could of my child and write a few memories about her to give to me. When people share a memory of my child, it is the best.thing.ever., especially as the years have gone on and everyone else has moved on with life and forgets that a grieving mother grieves forever. When you lose a child, a part of you is just cut off. You're like an amputee. You're alive, and life goes on, and somehow you figure out how to navigate through it all with your missing part, but you never forget and you're never the same. I am so sorry....
