UPDATE: HE GOT THE JOOOOBBBB!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you, internet friends, God/The Universe/Positive Energy! He starts next Tuesday, a real actual job with a tech company, with a normal pay scale, health insurance and (after 6 mths) a retirement account.

@lauraw4321 I think tech generally don’t confirm that fast if it is a set of interviews unless they are all on the same day?  My husband would hear whether he got the job fast only when he was the last shortlisted candidate to be interviewed.

Hope your son is successful in his set of interviews. I think we feel like “honorary aunts/uncles” to your children, definitely not a stranger.

Thank you; yes, it takes some time. He has not done the second or other subsequent interviews yet so nothing to go on except he felt good about the first interview and he was comfortable with all the programming questions they asked him. 
 

I’ll let you all know. Sure do hope it will be good news.
