  1. Your ego is gigantic. Pity those who blindly listen to some know-it-all man on an Internet forum. I hope people will instead talk to their **doctors** if they get covid. and busymom, I hope you start feeling better soon. Many hugs... 💛
  2. I also think it's crazy to self-medicate. I've never said to do that. Talk to your doctor about it. My in-laws dr prescribed it, so this was not a case of someone running to tractor supply to buy horse paste. Those people have gone off the deep end.
  3. My in-laws took ivermectin, antibody infusion, and to my chagrin, hydrocloroquine. I wasn't crazy about it at all. I seriously was planning my fil's funeral when I found out how his covid was progressing. Anyway, much to my surprise, they both got better quickly. It made me realize I don't have all the answers and if I get covid, I'm open to whatever my *doc* wants to try. I would **not** advise ever taking those meds yourself. Ask your doctor. So, I guess that means I'm not playing doctor, with all due respect.
  4. I don't like the site either, but busymom is needing help and there were some options there for people who are in long-covid. And as much as I hate the idea of using ivermectin, I will if my doctor prescribes it because I have an open mind, unlike a lot of other people. I don't pretend that anyone is a covid expert, because... please. 🙄 So I'll (and I hope other people) get vaxxed (!) and keep an open mind if my doctor gives me something that people here bad-mouth every chance they get. You're not a doctor. You're not a covid expert. No matter how hard you and others try to play one.
  5. And yet if I get covid and my doctor prescribes it, I’m damn sure taking it. I get sick of people especially here downing some meds because they wouldn’t take them. Well good for you. Let me bow down. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’ve been vaxxed and will get my booster in December. If I get covid, I’ll take whatever the hell my doctor prescribes, even the quack stuff, if it gives me a fighting chance, which I’m sure I’ll desperately need because I don’t trust my body to fight off covid frankly. Madteaparty didn’t say don’t get vaxxed; she didn’t say go to tractor supply and buy wormer. (sorry, Tori) said here’s a list of some things that could potentially help. 🤷🏻‍♀️
  6. No one is my family has been buried with jewelry that I know of. Usually it's already known who will get what piece of jewelry. When dh's grandmother died, she stated in the hospital to her daughter that she wanted daughter to get her wedding ring and me to get the ring on her right hand. If she hadn't stated that, I still assume dd would get wedding band, but I have no idea who would've ended up with the other ring, probably a granddaughter. It made me more aware of how things could work out and to write it down so family knows.
  7. I think it's sick. We've gone too far with this sh*t.
  8. I love my Skechers Bobs... I have two different pairs and they're both comfortable and easy to wear. https://www.skechers.com/collections/womens/bobs/?promo_id=&promo_type=Public&utm_kxconfid=so3yjxz47&src=paidmedia&msclkid=ed045338e7251cf575d33205f6688257&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Bing_US_Search_(B)rand_Products_Public_Alpha&utm_term=skechers bobs&utm_content=bobs_by skechers
  9. What about a brown wood door, but a fancier one? (Let me try this again) https://www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&ccid=OT67%2bQ8H&id=EF87AF52C569434AD625329648BD0FF044555C9A&thid=OIP.OT67-Q8HVXCTz3IBLZjtwAHaMM&mediaurl=https%3a%2f%2ffounterior.com%2fwp-content%2fuploads%2f2014%2f09%2fBrown-wood-front-door-at-an-interesting-house-.jpg&cdnurl=https%3a%2f%2fth.bing.com%2fth%2fid%2fR.393ebbf90f07557093cf72012d98edc0%3frik%3dmlxVRPAPvUiWMg%26pid%3dImgRaw%26r%3d0&exph=1010&expw=613&q=brown+wood+door&simid=607993281346163884&FORM=IRPRST&ck=B66A7C0C289D51AC447407081D941AC0&selectedIndex=15&ajaxhist=0&ajaxserp=0
  10. Awesome update!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
  11. @Janeway is he in therapy? Can you get him in to see his dr (or psych if he sees one)? Meds can help!
  12. I think so, too. My stomach is already in knots thinking who might get elected next go-round.
  13. There’s a lot going on with you! Ok, breathe. First, dh will probably be fine today at the dr. Update us when you know something. Second, wait and get an official report and prognosis on mom. Dd is fine. She is not sick and even if she gets covid, she will probably handle it great. Don’t invite trouble, ykwim? Dh is a grown man. Once you know more details on mom’s condition, let him decide what he wants to do (provided you don’t care if he goes vs stays; if you do care, just tell him). Once you get the prognosis, you’ll know if you need to go be with mom or if you can manage coming and going. Don’t rush to making decisions until you know what y’all are dealing with. Big hugs and many prayers!! I know you get stressed easily, so slow down and take it one person at a time. This afternoon deal with dh, then move on to figuring out mom’s situation.
  14. I waited a few days to post this because I wanted to be sure, but I bought a BlendJet2 and I love it. So far, I’m blending bananas, cucumbers, spinach, almond milk, and chia seeds. So far, so good. Tomorrow I’ll try celery!
  15. It would have to be my beagle! And she would like that, especially if you brought treats! I like the marching bands, too! I wish the TV games would show more of that instead of about ten seconds and then off to commercial. My cousin’s son was playing in the band in a TV game we watched Saturday and I kept hoping they’d turn the camera on the band, but no such luck, at least not when I was looking (I missed the first quarter or two).
  16. Come down here, hjffk, and you, too, can be a football fanatic. Sounds like a commercial, doesn’t it? I’m in Georgia— Loving college football is required.
  17. Oh, I hope so much that it's a hit! I like shows that take me back, sort of like the Goldbergs. I love nostalgia.
  18. Fall begins when football season starts for us (this past Saturday), so it feels like fall here already. Next week, we'll be at the beach. 🙌🏼 When we get home, I'm hoping to start back painting a bit. I also want to paint a fall-themed front door hanger with my mom at some point. We are planning on fencing in our whole yard this fall for our beagle. I'm just praying for no sickness and no drama for the rest of the year.
  19. I'm so sorry. Vent away. Ds20 was difficult and he was finally dx'd as bipolar this year. He is very needy, also. I have to be there for him anytime he needs me and that sucks the life out of me sometimes. He is now out of the house, living with roommates, but I still need to be a text message away all the time. It will get better, but it's hard to believe that when you're in the midst of it. Big hugs, mama. 💛💛💛
  20. Well, we're really into college football, SEC football to be exact. If you watched a game with us, I bet I could make you a convert! 🏈🏈🏈 💛
  21. Were not longer friends! 😱😡😆 im also looking forward to Ghost Hunters, which starts in October.
  22. Does college football count? Because I've been on a natural high since Saturday. Nothing better than fall and football.
  23. They do require them here, although I think it's possible they'll accept a religious exemption. And yes, meningitis especially in college.
