I've read through this, looked up some stuff, and basically agree some with both 'sides'. But I want to say that I feel badly for this girl. 20 years old, probably coerced by brave to stand up there and say all that, and now she's being vilified by another group.

Migraine today. I did manage to pick up my grocery order before I took meds so that’s done. Now the meds have kicked in and I’m hoping I can get supper fixed this evening and maybe get a few things done, or maybe not. Idk

Oh gosh, how lucky for him! My mom only had two wisdom teeth, so I consider her pretty lucky, too. Getting my four out was horrible! I’m hoping ds will just.follow.my.instructions. and hopefully not have any problems. But he’s hard headed, so we’ll see…

Ds22 got his wisdom teeth pulled today. It went really fast. Like super fast! He's in pain now, so please say a prayer for him. I am nearly 2 hrs away so I can't be there. His gf is taking care of him (and she does a good job, just wish I could be there). I put up my new Christmas tree today, it's not a regular one. I'll post a pic when I get it decorated and figure out how to put lights on it. I feel really crappy. I don't know what is going on, maybe a fibro flare-up? But I feel like dog doo. glad they got blood, @TravelingChris! Hope your day is better today @SKL!

I think my WOTY is going to be “Commit”. I need to commit to several things so maybe this will motivate me. My PATY is going to be “use it up”, meaning use what I have already before buying something new, whether it’s food, makeup, etc.

I haven’t met ds22’s gf’s mom yet, but have met her dad and brother. Obviously, I’m not texting them, lol. They live 1.5 hrs away, so it’s kinda hard to meet and develop a friendship. I think we’ll get along well though, from what I know about her mom. Ds’s first gf: her dad spent holidays with us, so obviously we all became pretty close. That relationship ended after two years though. Now, my mil and my mom are good friends now. It took a while, but they text each other regularly, my mil has stayed with my mom, and they hang out together when they can.

Nah, i think Heart did enough pursuing and trying to make things work in her past marriage. She deserves to be on the other end of that. She needs someone who will pursue her. I’m not talking about not going after a guy to let him know you’re interested. I’m talking about having to chase him down to get him to respond to simple communication. She shouldn’t have to do that.

She sounds like she’s excited to finally have a girl in the mix, tbh. I think she’s just overly excited. What you’ve said, like ‘pretty’ is good and keeps it simple, but kind. Not liking her isn’t sinful, being mean would be. You’re doing great handling it, imo. she reminds me of the meme that says something like: me: my kid will NEVER ….. my kid: nevering like they never nevered before.

I’m recuperating today. Trying to finish off what few leftovers we have. Watching football. Today is a lazy day, for sure!

Our Christmas tree needs to be replaced (bought it for $39 12 years ago, so we've gotten the goody out of it!) but I just am not feeling traditional trees. I just bought this and I'm going to put fairly lights on it. I like that I can actually see all my ornaments since I only use ones that are sentimental to me in some way. I’m not a good cook, but for whatever reason God has mercy on me when it comes to making holiday meals. Everything was perfect. After leftovers are eaten, I’ll go back to my usual of cooking lackluster food, lol. The dressing especially got lots of raves and I fixed a huge platter which was almost all eaten. It’s dh’s grandmother’s recipe and it’s time consuming so I’m glad everything appreciated it. I sent ds home with a bunch of leftovers and he texted me late last night to thank me and told me everything was delicious. 🥰🥰🥰. It was worth the headache just to hear that.

We’re done with eating! Thank you Lord it’s over. I informed everyone that next year will be premade stuff or Cracker Barrel. I am in fibro pain something fierce. But it was all really good! I’m about to eat some pecan pie!

Oh gosh, meatballs and sauce sound wonderful. My bil is Italian and his grandmother taught my sil how to make her meatballs and sauce and it is divine!

Yeah, that changes things. I would not be happy about that if my spouse did that.
