My bride-zilla cake is done!

When I offered to may my niece's wedding cake I never dreamed she would be so 'demanding'... I had to learn so many new techniques (in reality I had FUN learning how to do the flowers and lace).  I spent about $200-- including the fee for an online flower-making course (worth every penny) and all other supplies/moulds.  I also spent about 100 hours total (including all of the practice and sugar-paste flower making).

Bottom and top tiers were 'champagne-almond'-- after a test cake I came up with a great ratio that just enhanced the vanilla cake base-- it had a white chocolate whipped ganache filling.  The middle tier was the "groom's cake".  It was my favorite-- a dark chocolate fudge cake with a semi-sweet whipped ganache over a light raspberry sauce filling.

I see all of the imperfections-- but it really did turn out great.

Forgot to mention that the wedding was behind schedule and the servers went home before the 'cake was cut'-- and I ended up serving it!!! :confused1:
