Random poll about iphones--do most people you see have a phone case with a cutout that shows the Apple on the back, or one that covers it?

My iPhone case does NOT have a cut-out that shows the Apple.

I'm not sure about others, but I've had iPhones for several years now. I've had a pretty even mixture of cases that show the apple and those that don't. It's not a factor for me when I consider buying a case. :)

My current case does (Lifeproof), my old one did not. DH likes clear cases, so his do show the apple logo.

Mine doesn't. My brother recommended this kind of case to me when i first got my phone, so i know neither his nor my SIL's does. If I was looking at cases, a cutout like that would be a strike against it because it seems showoffy to me. But if it had other features I wanted, I might get it anyway.

I don't have a cutout, but the back is clear so I still see the logo.

We've always used Otterbox cases (Commuter and Defender series) and the logo shows. But it's not something I would have thought about or cared about one way or another.

Mine does because it's an Otterbox. If Otterbox covered it, I'd have a covered logo. I don't think anyone mistakes me for being all about the flash. :rofl:

 

I don't pay attention to logos on phones. The only time I ask what kind of phone someone has is when it takes an amazing picture.

I had to look at my case, as I had no idea, lol. It's a case from Apple, no cutout, but Apple logo is embossed on back, barely visible.

Mine does, otterbox defender. My iphone 5 survive many drops by my younger boy who just have butter fingers. He drop his iPad many times too. Many iphone/ipad cases under iphone/ipad accessories shelves at Target or Best Buy does show the logo, because the cut out for the cameras are custom to the model anyway. The cases under the generic shelves don't but the camera hole may be slightly off for your phone/tablet or there is no camera hole.

 

The moms in my kids German school use their iPhones without cases so from the back of the phone it is quite easy to tell which model.

My old phone was usually in a case that didn't show the logo. My son's phone is in an otter box defender so it does. My husband has a jimmy case for his that does not. After conducting a brief household survey, all of ours currently show the Apple.

 

We are all using Spigen cases at the moment. Dd pointed out her precious custom design case did not show it. We have used a mix of Otterbox and Lifeproof previously and I don't think those showed it but I'm not 100%.

Our household all uses otter boxes which show the apple.  The folio wallet style is very popular among my friends, and most of those do not.

My impression is that most of the "good" name brand cases who the apple logo but that most of the cheapie cases, especially the creative and slightly weird ones - because they have a picture on them - don't.

This is me. I have several I used to use and they were a mix. Now I have a Mophie case so no cutout.

My Otterbox has the cutout. I don't really care. At the phone store, the salesman said to pick one from a certain section that came with our phone package, and I just chose the pink and purple one. I'm girly, what can I say? :-)

My Otterbox doesn't not, but that's probably because the case back has a pattern on it. Dh just has a solid color Otterbox and his has the cutout. I believe they're the Defender or something along that line.

I was going to say my case doesn't because it has a cutesy picture on the back, but I was wrong.  I just picked it up, and it does have a cut out on the back.  I had no idea.

But there is definitely the snooty factor as to telling which is an iPhone 6. or 7 based on where the antennae and speakers show up.  LOL

I've had ones that show the apple and ones that don't. My current case on my 7+ (and the one I had on my 6S+) does not show the apple. After years of otterboxes, I am now using a Loopy case, and I LOVE it!

My daughter's case for her new SE is clear, so shows. She chose it because she likes the color of the phone to show.
