hornblower
hello, just a quick check in that I'm still in hospital but my last blood test shows neutrophils are starting to rebound a bit. I've been downgraded from IV abx to oral this morning! Yay! I wish I could control the mitosis in my cells & speed up the white blood cells (& stop the darned cancer cells) but apparently no matter how much of a control freak you are, your cells just do their own thing. I mean who do they think they are? I wish there was a Well Trained Cells : guide to growing healthy, lovely body cells at home :D wifi still sucks. But food is good - but I'm not a reliable witness as I have no taste buds anymore. Still have hair though! The falling out will start any day though... big thanks for all the good wishes and the vibes and the prayers

hornblower
They let me go home to finish recovering. Neutrophils still way way way too low but I'm feeling well & happy to be home. Chemo this week is cancelled. I'll try to pop back tomorrow & catch up on everything :)

Ravin
Glad to hear you're home. Setbacks like that suck. When my mom had breast cancer, at one point she had to be hospitalized for an infection while her immune system was low and they made it worse by giving her a penicillin derivative even though she had a known and documented penicillin allergy. It sounds like they're doing a better job up there for you!

Popular Post hornblower
Hi everyone! Just wanted to say I've finished Phase 1 of my chemo (adriamycin and cyclophosphamide) YAY!!! Now a 2 week break and then Phase 2: I'll do 12 weeks of weekly Taxol injections. And then, radiation daily for 4-6 weeks (don't know yet how long as I haven't had the consult with the radiologist. But I just got the bestest anti-depressant..... an 8 month old black lab x puppy came up for adoption!!! She just arrived at my house this morning and we're doing a 2 week trial foster to adopt. She's already made me laugh hysterically and she's super sweet and adorable. Even my old English Setter seems to like her - except when she gets too zoomy. changed photo to remove me (for privacy) & just leave the princess. Her name is Olive ? 65 1
