6 Years, and 3 Days

Thanks everyone. The actual anniversaries themselves tend to be the worst of the "bad days". So I don't even acknowledge them anymore, today feels a little better, but not much. I figure if I tell someone (or everyone) that I'm sober, then I can't break it. Like announcing that you're watching your weight or something--once people know, you can't dismiss it.

My dad was an alcoholic from 12 to 40s. He failed many times at getting sober. He's now been sober for over ten years and said it got significantly easier after 7. He's a great grandpa, but I so wish he was there when I was a child. You're a good man.

This brought me to tears... Day by day... Congrats Gil.
