Melissa in Australia
After reading the beard thread. I was wondering how many have DH's with beards. so here is a poll For this poll, all facial hair below the lip is a beard, be it a goatee or a full bushy beard with plats and bows. justamouse
Clean shaven. He has to go into the labs and would have to cover it-easier to have none. But I love them. :D
jar7709
DH would, but his is sparse, and kinda scraggly when it gets to 'beard' status, so he usually just maintains the stubble for a rugged look. Or so he says sometimes. He's really just too lazy to shave everyday. ;)
Country Mouse
Beards are a safety hazard for dh's occupation and are forbidden.
hsbaby
Voted beard, but really a goatee. I prefer him NIT clean shaven. I love when we go on vacation and he's stubbly;)
theYoungerMrsWarde
“He that hath a beard is more than a youth, and he that hath no beard is less than a man. He that is more than a youth is not for me, and he that is less than a man, I am not for him.” Dh has a goatee :001_wub: the perfect balance. Parrothead
Dh has a hairy lip. He is in the process of growing in a mustache. It looks so funny.:D
Melissa in Australia
My DH had a beut moustache. He has "Never shaved his upper lip" ( quoting my brother, who thought it looked so distinguished that he copied him :D)
acablue
Movember is in full force here, but typically, clean-shaven.

Ellie
I really wanted to vote for the pigs with wings, but alas, I had to go with mustache only. However, Mr. Ellie has had a beard a couple of times. He's scrumptuos with or without a beard. :) As long as it isn't *stubble,* I'm good with whatever he chooses to do with his face. Impish
Goatee here. And I let my displeasure be known when he decides, w/out warning, to shave it :tongue_smilie::lol:
laughing lioness
Dh grows a full beard and mustache each winter. Clean shaven spring/summer/fallish.
nono
My husband? I voted beard/mustache, but it's not really. He shaves about once a week, and has a really thick, black, natural goatee/mustache combo that works well for him and grows in quickly. I find it a bit weird when he's freshly shaven. His beard really works for him and makes him quite manly.

Mommyfaithe
Mine has always had a beard and mustache....since we met and he was 18 :D My sons both have beards and mustaches like their dad....once they were 18. It is not a religious thing....just, well....they have gorgeous facial hair, so no reason to shave it off. They keep very well groomed....and all 3 have deep auburn mustaches and beards with deep blue eyes. .....
fraidycat
DH is military. He has to be clean shaven, along with half of his head :glare:. He did grow out a goatee while on extended leave once. He looked Extra HOT! :D
nmoira
Beard and moustache, and has had since we became engaged. It's the only non-negotiable item on my end of the "pre-nup." His is that I don't shave my head. My youngest will only consider marrying a man with a beard, as she thinks men without are not trustworthy. PeacefulChaos
Uh... I wasn't sure what to vote...I guess he has a beard and moustache. However... not exactly. He's got scruff. Idk...there's a picture of him on my blog (below) if that helps...
justLisa
Yes both. He keeps it trimmed nicely. I love it and would be sad if he shaved. He had no thing when we met, but I think it is totally s*xy.
LostSurprise
I couldn't answer. DH has a full beard (ie beard with a mustache) a majority of the year but shaved it off last week for one of his beard-free periods. He goes through cycles. He tells me its a kissing holiday when he does. :D He actually looks just like this when he has a beard. He looks nothing like Ewan McGregor when he doesn't have a beard. sassenach
Both and I LOVE it.
nukeswife
Another clean shaven military man here. He's never grown anything out, but will go a bit stubbly on the weekends at times or when on leave. I don't mind the stubble. I have seen pics of him when he was in college and had a full bushy beard. He looked like Grizzly Adams, so no thanks. Now if he wanted to go with a well trimmed goatee or something once he retires, I'd be ok with it, but not the bushy mountain man look. kalanamak
Mustache and goatee. I've even posted a picture of it, and it was the subject of a bridezilla thread. His hair is almost white now, but his facial stuff is still salt and pepper.
Hypatia.
DH has a goatee. He just retired from the military in July and has enjoyed not having to shave every day. (I have to say, I do miss him clean-shaven.)
MrsBasil
Beard and mustache right now. He changes it up from time to time. Now that he works outside, he's happier keeping the facial hair.
Mama_Rana
Clean shave now, but he has had both a full beard and a goatee before. Never just a mustache since we've been together.
The Girls' Mom
Full beard :001_wub: He has shaved exactly once since the day we got married, and that was in the first year. I don't even know what he looks like under there anymore  I joke with him that he needs to shave it off just once, to freak out the kids...but they are horrified at the thought. (so am I a little!) I love furry men though. Makes 'em look manly :D
Pamela H in Texas
Always a mustache, usually a goatee also.
Hunter's Moon
He is clean shaven now for wrestling season (:glare:), but usually he has a sparse beard/side burn combo going on :D I also voted for the pigs :)
LMD
Clean shaven, including top of head, though often a stubbly 5 o'clock shadow, I do like the rugged look. Since we've been together he's tried many goatee's, including chin strap/side burns. I don't think he could stand a full beard!
Julie Smith
Dh hates facial hair on himself, and hates shaving. Happily his facial hair grows in slowly. He shaves about every 3 to 4 days so it ranges from clean shaven to big after 5 shadow.
Tutor
Mine has both, but he keeps them clipped to 10:00 shadow scruffiness... otherwise it tickles.
Forget-Me-Not
Full beard/mustache but he keeps it trimmed pretty short. He has a very heavy beard and has a "five o'clock shadow" by two or three in the afternoon if he goes clean-shaven, which he hasn't for 4 yrs.
sparrow
I voted beard and mustache, but it's really a goatee that occasionally ends up being a beard. He also sports a handlebar mustache sometimes. I love that :001_smile:. The kids have never seen him without facial hair. It would totally freak them out!
dangermom
My husband grows out a beard every winter. I love it! And I like variety. :001_smile:
Rosie_0801
Where's the poll option for "Don't know, I haven't met him yet?" Can't we be inclusive around here? :toetap05: :p I voted with the pigs, with apologies to my future husband should he be a Jew, Muslim or vegetarian. :D Oh man, now you've got The Beards song stuck in my head... A.Balaban
DH has a goatee. He's had one since we started dating. I haven't seen him with no facial hair in like six or seven years!! I would totally freak out, so he's not allowed to shave it off. ;)

joannqn
Dh changes his facial hair regularly. He has a goatee most often. He currently has a sole patch. The only thing he's hasn't had during our marriage is a mustache only because I hate them.
Whereneverever
My DH has a goatee or beard depending on how good he is with shaving and always has an impressive mustache. I love it. :D
Desert Rat
Well, dh is clean shaven now, but often wears a variety of facial hair in winter, which starts later here in the desert southwest. My favorite? Toss up between a soul patch and the handlebar moustache.
AndyJoy
My DH started growing a beard shortly after we were married because it made him look older and made people take him more seriously. He was just shy of 20 but had a lot of life experience and knowledge. Growing the beard definitely helped with his image. He did shave it to get in character for Buzz Lightyear for Halloween, but normally I really prefer him with a beard/mustache. He is still pretty baby-faced though the hair on his head is quite thin. He looks much more manly with the beard.
ccolopy
Usually clean-shaven, with the occasional light beard. He went completely gray early, so a beard makes him look at least 10 years older.
Audrey
Yes both. He keeps it trimmed nicely. I love it and would be sad if he shaved. He had nothing when we met, but I think it is totally s*xy. Yup. That's exactly what I was going to say.
LucyStoner
I would be sad if my husband were clean shaved. I think his facial hair is one of the sexiest things about him and I have never found a clean shaven man especially attractive. IMHO men need some facial hair. Heidi @ Mt Hope
Not only has my dh never worn facial hair, he shaves his head also. :) I think some men look good in a goatee, but my preference is clean-shaven.
carina
I said yes he has a beard, but I should have voted that he has a beard and mustache. He shaves every 2-3 weeks or when ever the urge hits him.
