Excuse me, I have an announcement (tapping on the mike)

Today, as of 4:30 pm, Central time, I became a home-owner for the first time. It took 8 months, two banks, a lot of stress, many difficult conversations, but I did it. I bought my home. Just shy of 6 years ago, I was newly divorced, unemployed, didn't even have a checking account. Today, I'm "oldly divorced", employed full-time, not only have a checking account, but a credit card, and now a mortgage with only my name on it.

This road has been very difficult. The seller turned out to be a bully, very manipulative and untrue to his word, all with a smile and a "Bless you, dear sister!" demeanor. But, despite all that, despite all the days of thinking this is never going to happen, despite my many sleepless nights fretting over bills, paperwork, and meetings with lenders, it's done. And I thank God because even though this has been hard, I've learned a lot from it. The biggest lesson I learned (and have to keep learning, I guess, because I never seem to get it) is that God provides and circumstances don't hinder His provision.

That is all. You may go back to your regularly scheduled forum reading. :001_smile:
