"Happy Holidays", as it is generally meant to encompass Hanukkah, Christmas , and New Year. And, frankly, if the recipient celebrates Yule, Kwanzaa, or any other holiday in the general vicinity of December and January, I would like them to have a happy one of those, as well.

Northeast/Mid-Atlantic.

I see I've jumped the gun on the poll. we don't send pictures.

Your post made me smile. I completely agree with your sentiment.

We have pictures taken. We might have them made into Christmas cards. Only the turkey is done. :D

Oh, and most of my adult life was spent in California. When I was growing up in Virginia, with grandparents from North Carolina, there was never, ever any discussion about doing formal family portraits; after we children started school, those pictures were the only ones that were taken other than informal snapshots, and we never made reprints of those.

pictures taken-Texas transplanted from Arkansas

My mil in Arkansas says made.

My mother in Arkansas says taken.

I'm also an Arkansan transplanted to Texas and I say "made".

Ughhhh....yet another thing that screams "I'm from the South!" besides "fixin' to" and "ya'll" :D
