  1. We just battled this all spring, summer and fall. They got horribly worse this past September when I finally took action and started searching for an answer to them. They are boxelder bugs and love the boxelder tree a member of the maple tree family. They come every spring and fall if you don't get rid of them. When it gets cold they will try to find a way in your home. They are harmless but annoying. They multiply like crazy! Hubby went to Lowes and bought this http://www.lowes.com/pd_188467-316-1666017_4294772324__?productId=3186209&Ns=p_product_qty_sales_dollar|1&pl=1&currentURL=%3FNs%3Dp_product_qty_sales_dollar%7C1&facetInfo=. It attaches to your water hose and he gave a good spray all over the house, yard, tree, deck, you name it. It totally reduced their numbers greatly. The following weekend he used another bottle of it and did it again. Gone. I haven't seen any outside since. This stuff really works! Hope this helps you.
  2. My brother is in Hamilton Square and is fine. My mom talked to him but not sure if he was on a cell or home phone.
  3. None here... we use an antenna and Netflix streaming. Redbox if we want DVDs.
  4. I have been researching them also. The P5 is on sale right now so we are looking at that model. I am so tired of spending money on junky mattresses. I hope someone will give some advice about these beds. I'm a side sleeper and hubby is a back sleeper. I like slightly softer (but not sinking), he likes slightly harder. Thinking this might work for us. I hate spending the money but if it's a great bed, it would be worth it. Anyone?
  5. When I worked at a B & B, we used the HE Tide in the regular washers. Much less amount then recommended on the box and everything still came out very clean.
  6. I have this one and I love it: http://www.kenmore.com/kenmore-24inch-built-in-dishwasher-w-sani-rinse-trade/p-02213032000P?vName=Kitchen&cName=Dishwashers&sName=Built-in+Dishwashers&prdNo=9&blockNo=9&blockType=L9
  7. I have a top load HE and love it. My son has asthma but he has had no additonal problems since having this one. We have no mold or smell problems and I even keep the lid shut when not in use. It's a Kenmore, bought at Sears.
  8. I'm considering going back to school and was thinking of going to a Vo-tech to get training in Medical office work. Would this be a waste of my money? Any suggestions?
  9. Whole 30 has a new message board. I am really enjoying it. http://forum.whole9life.com/
  10. Regional truck driver. Out and back 3 days a week, off every weekend too.
  11. You can get OPI at Walmart in their style shop. Also, Ulta stores and Target carries it. Essie can be bought at Ulta and Walgreens. I'm sure other places also. Expensive but well worth it and it lasts forever!
  12. I ALWAYS have painted toenails. Sometimes fingernails but usually I prefer a light coat color or just natural on them. I ALWAYS use OPI or Essie. ALWAYS use a bottom coat and top coat and let them dry really well. Toenails will last about a month and fingernails about a week or so. My favorite is the French pedi or mani.
  13. This is basically my grocery list. Except on occasional splurge days. http://www.sugarfreesheila.com/GroceryList.html
  14. I've had my top loader HE (no agitator) for a little over 1 year and NO HOLES in anything and NO PROBLEMS. Very happy with it.
  15. I have been taking 5HTP 100 mg before bedtime and I sleep like a baby, wide awake by 5 am and ready for the day, no nap either. No bad dreams like many have. I cannot take it during the day or I'd be asleep. It helps with depression also. Sometimes I even take 2! Love it!
  16. My husband is type 2 and carbs and sugar raise his blood sugar, including whole grains, any type carb. On the other hand, diet soda does not effect his blood sugar levels. I would be more concerned with the bun, sugar in the ketchup (assuming there was ketchup on the hamburger) and the fries for sure. Did he wash his fingers really well before testing?
  17. I found this a few days ago and thought it was very interesting. I thought it might add to this thread. http://www.preventdisease.com/news/12/030112_World-Renown-Heart-Surgeon-Speaks-Out-On-What-Really-Causes-Heart-Disease.shtml
  18. We used to buy raw milk from a farmer at our farmer's market but it was slightly inconvenient to do so (where it was located). But, if it was more convenient, yes, I'd go back to buying it again. We loved it!
  19. I agree Low carb is how you lower your Tri, and up your HDL. Find out what type LDL you have, big fluffy ones or small dense ones. Take Omega 3 cod liver oil. Stop the sugar and carbs. Then go get retested. I'm quite sure they will improve, if you do that stuff.
  20. Netrition.com is where I bought mine.
