kbutton
That sounds extremely painful and scary. I am glad it’s happening in a managed setting. Praying your medical team will manage things well and that the new symptoms lead to more treatment options now and when they want to send you home.

Do they know what happened? I currently am under the care of rehab doctors they don't have any experience of my condition. Their guess is the tachycardia event triggered a pseudo sezure because of the stress it put on my body. They contacted the cardiologist who has put me on extra heart medication. I am still having more tests to see is I have sarcoid in my nervous system as an outpatient under the specialists in Melbourne.

The hospital disability liaison person has organised volunteer driver to take me for the testing.. When the medication is just about due I have very elevated pulse episodes (possably ventricle tachicardia happening then?? ) . I don't have POTS, Blood pressure doesn't drop . I have tachicardia most probably because I might have sarcoid in my heart. the heart medication is absolutely magic at keeping my pulse down. The steroids are specifically to reduce the sarcoid in my heart. They wouldn't have prescribed it for me if it was just in my lungs because of how nasty all the side effects of steroids are. The sarcoid damage in my lungs is non functional damage. Might also have sarcoid in my nervous system as I have a tremor in right hand. I had episode of tachycardia for about two years after my collapse. The cardiologist was just at the point of installing an internal monitor when they finally went away. My pulse is still wonky, anywhere from 55-115 depending on what I am doing but no longer a concern. Recovery is long and hard and it is easy to get discouraged but go slowly so as to not have any setbacks. It was a little easier for me because they originally told me that I would never walk again so any progress I made was a triumph for me but still emotionally hard at times. You strike me as a strong woman so I know you will get through this. Just give yourself some grace and you will find your new normal. You have tons of women here routing for you. 6

How is being home going otherwise? Having an extra pair of eyes has greatly reduced the ransacking and everything is calmer at home. I am extremely useless. Can't do the simplest thing at all without triggering a erratic pulse. Example, I took the old sheets off the bed. That was all. My pulse was jumping back and forth from 47 to 99 for a good 30 minutes afterwards. Lots of chest pain. I am finding it mentally challanging as I did everything and now can't do a single thing. I have never been one to sit idle and now can't do anything but that. 2
