DawnM
Not jobs that aren't interesting to you, we all have those. Or jobs that you can't do because you don't have the talent, I have lots of those. But what job could you not do because it is too weird, or too freaky, or too scary or too whatever. I could not be a medical examiner or a funeral director. Dealing with dead bodies wigs me out. You? (and yes, I need a distraction)

Clarita
Being a doctor I'm way too squeamish with blood the inside of bodies. Katy
I’m losing my filter so I’m not sure I could handle going back into anything that involves high stress and people like nursing again. Lady Marmalade
I couldn't give pedicures, be a shoe salesperson, or a podiatrist. Feet are gross. I don't even like looking at my own feet when I'm wearing sandles. Having gone through all the foster to adopt, I understand. The first judge gave Andrew back twice! She was huge on reunification, which I get, but it was a very unhealthy environment and he should not have been given back because she did NOTHING on the list she was given of what she needed to do to get him back. (she showed up to parenting classes high as a kite and they made her leave and she never went back. She went to DV classes and told the instructor she was going to kill him, got kicked out.....she was meant to go to weekly classes and only went to one of each and stopped) That was all before I got him. By the time I flew across the country to go get him, they were 99% sure he wasn't going back.

Ali in OR
I have nothing but respect and appreciation for the guys that put in a drain in our crawl space. They said ours was actually pretty clean and roomy compared to some they work on. And the owner of the business said he pays very, very well. These guys have to dig a drain inside the perimeter of the foundation (then connect a sump pump) and they have to deal with any vermin that could be there. Needless to say, I don't think I could do this job.

elegantlion
Nurse - I worked for a vet for 5 years, toughest job I ever loved, but couldn't do that with people. Plus I have practically no immune system, so it would be a sucky job. I was surprised the number of people that asked me if I was going to be nurse when I started college. Like, no, you wouldn't want me as your nurse either. Server - I couldn't carry heavy trays, I'd dump drinks on someone the first day. Indigo Blue
Question: Do you think if you were a cleaning person somewhere that it is reasonable for them to expect that it is part of your job description to clean human waste off floors and walls? Camps where there are boys and stuff. Or would it be more reasonable to be clear that that should be cleaned up by properly equipped personnel wearing proper protective gear? Am I thinking crazy? If I were in any janitorial position, that would be where I would draw the line. Could not do that.

If I were in any janitorial position, that would be where I would draw the line. Could not do that. There is no reason a cleaning person should not have protective gear. It's pretty standard these days to wear basic PPE (gloves, goggles, mask) for just routine cleaning of bathrooms. If a cleaning person at a camp requested further PPE to have on hand for that type of situation, I can't imagine them being turned down (from a liability standpoint alone). 13 minutes ago, madteaparty said: Any job that requires parallel parking.
