If you had to pick 5-8 foods to survive on, what would they be?

I hate cooking, I hate the gathering of food. I've lost some sense of smell due to chronic allergies, so there is no sense of palette at all. After being sick, I'm still sick, but it's been long coming, I'm just tired of food.

I've been eating mostly gluten free for the last year. I've read the Primal/Paleo books and probably like that approach best, but I also do dairy and sweets in moderation. I tend to be "everything in moderation" rather than trying to not eat certain things. I still have to cook for the boys, so I can't strip the pantry like I wish to.

But....

So, if you had to pick 5-8 healthy foods (not groups, foods - taking seasonality into account) what would you choose? Curious how others who do their diet.

Chicken

Milk (cause I can make so much more from that)

Carrots

Apples

Green beans

Eggs

Berries (raspberries, saskatoons, grapes, and honey berries are already growing here)

Honey or maple syrup to sweeten my breads and jams.

Emmer wheat

I know that's nine but I couldn't decide what else to cut.

If I had to choose my favorite basics, I would choose....

Rice

Greens--spinach, kale, and salad greens

Chicken

Eggs

Berries, fresh or frozen

Potatoes, especially if I can include sweet potatoes

Cheese

Coffee....Although maybe that doesn't count, since that's more for the survival of the people around me. :p

Raw milk, soaked-grain whole wheat bread, eggs, a good source/type of grass-fed beef, peanut butter, strawberry jam, some good chocolate and bananas. Oh, and Brussels sprouts. :)

ETA - I'll make cheese and yogurt with the milk. ;-)

Chicken

Flour/yeast

Rice

Eggs

Beef

Potatoes

Carrots

Spinach

Tomatoes

Cheese

Butter

Milk

Beans

Bananas

Oranges

I know that's more than you asked for, but I can make so much with those ingredients and unlimited herbs/spices. I could do burritos, lasagna, soups, roasts, breads, yogurt/smoothies, meat pies, chicken n dumplings, rice pudding, LOTS of stuff.

Realistically, for me, I'd HAVE to add

Sugar

Tea

Celery

Onions

Garlic

Chocolate

Sour cream

Cheater. We vote you off the island. You are useless here.

Just for survival, huh? I'm taking my family's general allergy/sensitivities into consideration here:

Roast beef

liver

saurkraut (homemade)

coconut oil

strawberries

blueberries

red leaf lettuce

sea salt

If I don't have to include coconut oil or sea salt as foods, I'll add:

grapefruit

tomatoes

This is interesting...

chicken

apples

eggs

potatoes

avocados

almonds

spinach

cheese

onions

berries... of some sort... I don't even care what kind - whatever the deserted island's got

That was ten... but I also really need oil (coconut, olive oil, something...) and salt.
