The only consolation I got was that she will know the caseworker to flies with her. They don't know the date. Can't spend too much on tickets. Seriously, I knew all along. After they pull kids from their bio parents, it no longer is about the kids, but CPS procedures. Procedure says you give them to "kin" (relatives, friends of the family, someone two marriages out from family, anyone the family knows who can pass a homestudy). If it takes 14 months to get that family to pass homestudy and ICPC, then it does. If a child has 5 homes by 20 months? Oh well. At least they went to "kin." Who cares if they never trust anyone because people don't stick around as they learned before they could remember. I am sad for me. Really sad. I'm sad for my family who will hurt because of this also (please ignore my husband's language in his texts today). I'm more sad that I failed to protect my sweet Monkey I love so much. I'm more sad that she is the one that has to suffer because of procedure. I will be hoping and praying K and M have what it'll take to parent this child (and their 25month old).
