Hoot
I LOVE Quinn as a boy name. I've never heard of it as a girl name and, quite honestly, think it sounds a little odd for a girl.
QueenCat
Girl. Quinn for a girl. I've known two, I think. Quinton for a boy. I have known 3 boys named Quinton, over time. None of them shortened it to Quinn. Two are around my age, one is a teenager.
Ali in OR
I've always thought of it as a boy name and haven't come across a female Quinn. My guess is it's a name like Riley, Sydney, Taylor, Aidan, and Cameron that all came on the scene as boy names and are being stolen by parents of girls! HS Mom in NC
I've met both a girl and a boy named Quinn.
Trish
I know several girls named Quinn, so I'm thinking that the girls are taking it over now. For that reason, I'd be hesitant to name a boy that as this point. I do know of a boy named Quinn though, and I like it for him as well. I actually think it works for either a boy or a girl, but once people start using it as a girl's name, it usually becomes rare to be used for a boy anymore. There seem to be so many Tylers of both genders!

QueenCat
Curious if this is regional since some of have only known females named Quinn and others, only male.
Aspasia
Boy. But it's exactly the kind of name that was bound to switch over to being a girl's name (or at least a gender ambiguous name). So I wouldn't be surprised to meet a girl named Quinn, though I never have.
MistyMountain
I still think of it as a boys name but in recent years it has become used on girls a lot and is used for girls more now. It is kind of like Riley, Avery or Finley. It used to be a boys name but it then got taken over by girls. There are still boys being given the name but it ranks higher as a girl name. HomeschoolMamaOfTwo
I know a girl and a boy Quinn around the same age (under 5), so it works for either for me.
sassenach
Girl, though it is one of those neutral names that I wouldn't be shocked to meet a boy with.

Word Nerd
Quinn Cummings is the only Quinn I'm familiar with, so I would say girl. I've never met any kids or adults personally with that name.

As a mom who named her girls all "boy" names...I am sorry. Seriously. While I do love my girl's names, and they actually suit each one...I kind of wish I would have went a different way with their names. I wish I would have had a bit more forethought for all the boys who would all of a sudden have a "girl's" name.

Splash
Truly unisex in my opinion. I will say social security in 2012 Quinn is ranked 321 for boys and 153 for girls so a little more popular currently for girls if that helps. jewellsmommy
My first thought was boy. I do know that a lot of names are switching back and forth though. A couple at our church named their new girl Charley. I don't think it would be a problem or weird at all for you to keep Quinn for a boy. Barb_
I knew a female Quinn in High school. I thought it was such a cool name that I gave it to one of my daughters for a middle name. Still I wouldn't be surprised to hear of a boy named Quinn and I really like it. I think the name is underused and as a result isn't strongly associated with either gender.
