Am needing urgent positive thoughts for my sister

Update

They are giving her lots of steroids and will do heart scans today. The specialists are checking  if there is a possibility that she had an unknown heart condition. Also they seem to think she is breathing extremely shallow, which is causing the vitals to drop. The steroids might help with that.

if her heart is ok then they may do the gallbladder surgery today. As her condition has put her into the emergency category for surgery.

I’m glad she’s getting care now and hope that she will be stable enough for surgery soon and they can figure out what’s going on. I assume they have been testing her for Covid? With the breathing trouble and blood clots, combined with having been in the hospital for a number of days before those symptoms began, that would make me suspicious.

What an irony… to consider her precarious circumstances “good” because it qualifies her for surgery… But I am thankful to hear it (that she can hopefully have surgery). I pray the treatment plan is effective to stabilize her heart and that there will be no infection problems from a toxic gall bladder.

And I hope you can get a nap today, Melissa, I imagine you didn’t sleep well last night (of course my time zone understanding may be off, but ykwim).

She hasn’t got Covid.

I am sorry that I am posting such confusing updates. I guess it is an ever evolving situation

A team of specialists have decided it is too risky to give her steroids in her condition.

 Surgery is also postponed

she will be having the tests however, iodine free as she is allergic to iodine

I'm glad she is receiving care and that they are moving forward, even if somewhat slower and more precautiously than we all hoped.

Sending more healing light to your sister and hoping that the doctor's wisdom is top-notch in making sure she receives the appropriate care at the appropriate time.

I'm hoping they're able to do the surgery soon.

One of the, if not the, worst things about this pandemic is how much harder it has made health care for anythihg that isn't COVID. And it's so frustrating Tobe stuck on the outside. Really hoping your next update is really good news.

She is 44.

she has 10 children ranging from 20 to 3.

She is probably more worried about her children than she is about herself!

I hope they can do the surgery tomorrow and that everything goes smoothly so she can get back home to her family very soon!

I was thinking the same thing.  Having so many children at home must make the situation even harder on her.  Hope she can have the surgery very soon and be on the road to recovery.  ❤️
