The wedding went off without a hitch - my baby is gone and all grown up! I admit it's pretty bittersweet - she is our canary, one of those people who flits around the house singing or playing the piano and is just pleasant to be around. I will miss her so much, especially early mornings when we would get to sit with coffee and just talk. She's here (about 15-20 minutes away) until August when she and her husband move about 2-2.5 hours away for him to finish school. The hubby really pulled off the "catering" - he did all the sides, and DD(10) smoked the meat. My MIL and FIL came back from FL this week and were at the church most of the day on Friday helping and their help is HUGE. My job was care of small children, getting them dressed, doing hair, coordinating, lol, and I did pretty much NONE of the food except the planning. I think, if possible, I love him ten times more. :p ;)It was at SIL's church and the folks really did show up. We figure we had just right around 230-250 people show up. Their church is such a warm, caring group of people. They really opened up the church and just let us take over for two days and they were so wonderful. It made me wonder about being a pastor's wife/child - wow. Now, granted, their kiddos are friends with ours and with SIL, but do you all pitch in on EVERYTHING. These kids really knew how to serve and work and I was very humbled about their willingness and sweetness. The weather was perfect. A childhood friend did all the photography and that made it special for me. Ana is very close to *my* aunts and uncles and I could not believe how all of them made the effort and time to drive a little over an hour to her wedding. I am very much reminded how incredibly blessed I am. Happy sigh. And, as she was 37 weeks pregnant yesterday, bring on that baby. I'm ready for him. I get a kick out of the shot of the two of them because she is prim and proper and he is super enthusiastic - the photo fits them well. The family shot is funny too - the photographer was my best friend through elementary and I've known her since 2nd grade. If you look at the upper two girls' faces I just know this was right after some kind of booger comment because they were grossed out by it.
