Just one quick question- are you talking about mid-digital finger hair? I have hair on the section of finger attached to my hand, but not the big section next to my fingernail, if that makes sense. Does it matter?

Just to clarify- I do NOT have hair where the arrow on the picture on this page is pointing.

I am curious as to what hypothesis he is working on (if you have time to share)

There wasn't a hypothesis. It was gather data and then analyze it to find the percentages. Answer these questions using what was learned in class and the data. And then there were questions on dominant and recessive traits and how the small sampling skewed the results one way or the other. For example, from the ones that we gathered here, plus our family, we ended up with straight hair v/s curly/wavy to be an even 50/50 split. No obvious dominance. There were also questions designed to make him think about how 2 parents with dominant traits can have a child with recessive traits and how traits can skip generations and show up in a grandchild or even great-grandchild.

Thank you to everyone for your assistance.:grouphug:
