And I know there are so many from DFW, and Houston, etc. TX is a big place! Central Texas is a big place, too. ;) I'm on the northern side. I'm probably closest to someone who lives in Austin. We still have a Starbucks or Wegman's date that I am waiting for you to cash in on! I have a feeling I drive by where Chris lives on Fridays on my way to co-op (my GPS brought me on a route that saved tons of time, and I think it is quite near Chris). transientChris - also close by - we haven't met, but she and I have both offered (in times of GRRRRRRRR!) to come and help the other. I know I met 6 or so homeschooling moms during the NVHEA conference in July at Dulles Expo Center -- and it's funny: I remember their irl names (which I don't want to share here) and their screen names are different. If fact, I want to arrange carpooling to a class are kids are sharing and I am going to be getting in touch with that mom. We met danybug last year when we were all staying the outer banks barely a mile from each other. We had a great time - what a wonderful family! We wanted to visit them over the winter but with all our displacement and water issues, it didn't happen. I DO want us all to get together soon. We got together a couple years ago with some other NoVa boardies at Locust Shade Park in Prince William County and dd17 met GSMP's dd there - they are best of friends now.:) I live somewhat close to all the others in NoVa, but don't drive that far north very often. Chris, I've driven past Pohick Church a LOT, but now that dd17 no longer takes piano lessons in Springfield we haven't been near you in a very long while. When we had a year-long pass at Mt. Vernon I was on BikeBookBread's territory a lot, but she didn't live there then. Maybe all us NoVa boardies could meet at Mt. Vernon for Homeschool Day?? There are lots of Montessori/ waldorph mommas though...and maybe a few CM'ers...but that is mostly for the younger set. I don't know many who go the full distance...and this year I seem to be solo on that front. I think Chris in NY may be within a days drive and there are probably some Mommas from the "city" who weekend up here....BUT ???? Anyone out there??? LOL!!!
