Kari,

I am so sorry to hear of your loss! There is no comfort that can be possibly given to you at this time only may God give you the strength to face it and overcome it. My deepest condolences to you. Thanks also for bringing us to reality in this sad time of your life that school and chores are so secondary. I will try to keep this more in mind from now on.

Kari,

Reading the title of your post took my breath away for you. You are a stranger to me, but we are linked as fellow moms. I can't begin to imagine how I would be able to breathe again after receiving such tragic news.

I'm not sure where you stand spiritually, but all I know to do, all I can do is to pray that somehow you will be able to breathe...that somehow you will make it from this minute to the next. I commit to pray for you and your family, especially your immediate family and your younger children that your hearts will be comforted in the coming hours, days, weeks, months.

I will also pray that, as parents, you are able to continue to "be there" and "be present" with your younger ones. I imagine that this will not be easy to do when your heart has been ripped out in grief.

My heart aches with you.

Oh, I am tearing up for you. I am so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine the grief your family is going through.

I know that he was not KIA, but I am thankful for his service to our country.

God bless and comfort you...and thank you for the reminder of what is truly important.

I am so sad that I cannot even begin to understand. He was the best child that anyone could ever wish for. God gave him to us when my dh and I were 16 and 17. He was a light to our lives. The sunshine that filled our days. It was a awful car accident with no reason. He is still in Alaska - where he was stationed in the Army. We will be bringing home to Florida to have a military funeral. My heart hurts so bad. I love this kid more than anything in this world. Please love your kids. God's timing is not our own. Please hold them close and let them know they are the most important thing to you. School does not matter. Chores do not matter. Nothing matters more than the love you give them.

He was our Timmy and we love him with everything we are.

I have no words...my heart aches for you and your family. You will be in my prayers.

Blessings,

Kathi
