I've got a pretty big list, but by way of explanation my oldest (now 13) is dyslexic with other LDs/memory issues...so we did a LOT of jumping around before she was diagnosed. Nothing worked for her, so I kept looking for something that would.

What I actually have on my shelves now:

*Right Start D (but only because I just found it there, lol, I thought I had sold it)

* just bought full light blue Math Mammoth

*most MUS levels up until Pre-Algebra

*TT 3, 4, 5, 6, 7

*LOF fractions, decimals, percents

*Key to Fractions, decimals, percents, measurement

*Hands On Equations

*Family Math Middle School Years

*Algebra the Easy Way

*Calculus By and For Young People

*Singapore Challenging Math Problems 1-6

*Lial's BCM

*Forester Algebra

*some kind of videos that resemble Chalk Dust (but I can't remember the name)

*Lial and somebody Beginning and Intermediate Algebra

*Jacob's Geometry (the last few I got very cheaply, to look through for the future)

*Helps like Timez Attack and Quarter Mile Math

We've also sold back Professor B, some horizons, most levels of Right Start (liked it, too teacher intensive for our family situation), bought-sold-bought again MUS, and sold the first few levels of Singapore. I think I'm missing something, too...

I'm embarrassed how long this is, but when nobody will listen to you that you think your child has LDs, you start to think it must be YOU or the curriculum and...see above. I've kept a lot only because successive children have learned better from wildly different approaches.

Teaching Textbooks (TT5 from last year; TT6 for this year).

3 different LOF books, as yet unused. One is an elementary one I bought to peek at it and see if I might want to do it with my son (not til next year), and Fractions and Decimals, which I plan to try out with my daughter this year along with TT, as it sounds fun and I thought she might like it.

Times Tales DVD.

The only math programs I own are MUS and LOF.

Friends loaned me BJU and TT. I returned TT in a few weeks. We used BJU 5 for awhile, but preferred MUS epsilon and eventually just stuck with MUS. I also bought Math Doesn't Suck, but even dd ended up preferring Fred in the long run so I loaned it to a friend.

Wow! I can't believe how much some have. It makes me feel so much better. I feel like I am a curriculum junkie, but maybe not :glare: I think part of it is that I do not have an addiction when it comes to math ;)

We have various levels of:

Singapore Standards

Saxon

LoF

Hands on Equations

Stored on flashdrives:

2 different elementary programs in French

tons of OCW materials

In textbook or workbook format:

SRA Explorations and Applications student books and teacher guides for K through 6 (I think I'm missing one teacher guide)

Right now we have CLE, Saxon (sitting on our shelves but not being used), and LoF is on its way.

I've used other programs, BJU, K12, Calvert, MUS(for a very short time) , Miquon, Singapore(for a short time), and I feel like I'm forgetting what else.

But Christian Light is here to stay as long as it works. I'm using CLE 100,200,400, and 700 (with a little remediation from the 601 Light Unit first).

We use Singapore as our main math curriculum. We do some Miquon. I have the gamma and delta versions of Math U See because they were at the local used book store for 3 bucks a piece. I have used a few ideas from them. I've been adding to my own personal math resources: Family Math, Patty Kaye's Games for Math, Challenge Math, idea books on using Cuisenaire rods at the primary and intermediate levels. We also like the Murphy MathStart books for a few topics.

We also own a lot of math manipulatives: base 10 set, geometric solids, geoboards, pattern blocks, abacus, fraction manipulatives, counting bears, cuisenaire rods, tangrams, various clock manipulatives, those little toys where they have an addition, subtraction, multiplication problem where you can push in the button and see the answer, etc. I have a stamp set for base 10 on the way. We have several Sir Cumference books, What's your Angle, Pythagoreas?, and a few other similar math literature books.

I am not incriminating myself until I get others replies ;)

Saxon 5/4, 6/5, 7/6, 8/7, Algebra 1/2, Algebra I (with DIVE), Algebra II (with DIVE)

BJU worktext for grades 1 and 2.

I won't give you the list of what I've bought, tossed aside and finally sold. It isn't pretty.

Just Singapore and Zacarrio Challenge Math. Primarily Logic and Connections are logic workbooks we used last year.

For Singapore we have:

Intensive Practice

Mental Math

Challenging Word Problems

Math Practice

In several different levels.

Singapore woks for us so we don't need anything else right now.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for starting this thread. I feel much better knowing that I am in good company with my overloaded math shelves. For the record, I have:

Math Mammoth (all 6 years)

Miquon (2 copies of all 6 books)

Singapore (1A - 2B texts, HIGs, workbooks, Intensive Practice, Extra Practice, and CWPs)

Saxon 1

And I wonder why math takes up so much of our homeschool day ...

Saxon 7/6

Lial's BCM

Math Mammoth Fractions

Life of Fred Fractions, and Decimals and Percents

Horizons K

Rightstart A

Singapore textbooks and HIGs for 1A-2B, and a few CWP books

Miquon-Lab sheets, Notes to Teachers, First Grade Diary, and green book

Teachers guides for Horizons math 3-6

I have a Dolciani Algebra book kicking around here somewhere too

I'm still trying to decide if we will work on finishing up the Saxon 7/6 book when we start school (next week!!!!)and then move into 8/7, or if we are going with the BCM book. I clearly have issues.:tongue_smilie:

Shelf

Singapore 1-6, most levels with TM, supplementary books

AoPS Prealgebra 6

a few Key to books that I couldn't return because it would have put my RR under $150

Computer downloads

MM Blue

TimezAttack & other software

Basement

Family Math (2 volumes)

Learning Resources books to go with manipulatives

other early elementary manipulative type books, forgot titles

back issues of NCTM

FlashMaster, MathShark, math games and endless manipulatives -- somehow, at one point, I thought all this was necessary.

In order of importance per kiddo:

DS10: Life of Fred

Khan Academy

Math Mammoth to shore up background pieces from public school time

(considering AoPS to run concurrent with Fred...it really isn't necessary for a highly math-able student, but it does just look cool. I just have to remind myself that it's for him, not for me!)

Lots of misc. Books (Penrose, Number Devil, sir Cumference, etc).

DS8: Singapore (text, workbook, intensive practice)

Khan Academy

Math Mammoth

Life of Fred Elementary
