  1. Good question! My daughter is also doing it this year and I just gave one point per question. For chapter two she had a wrong answer but correct set up. I let her know that in some classes they might give half credits for that scenario. Interested to know what you decide!
  2. I remember sitting on the mat by my front door watching Sesame Street and learning/practicing to tie my shoes so I could go to kindergarten. I turned 5 that summer.
  3. CeraVe works well for my teens. One loves all things facial but can’t use any of it because her skin is so sensitive. She washes twice a day and uses a moisturizer But anything else causes major breakouts. My oldest uses the face wash for oily skin every morning, night, and after exercise. She also does an over night spot treatment from Neutrogena. Her and middle dd can use the cleansing pads on their backs but not their faces. It causes both more acne breakouts on the face. I did not believe it would work at all but I went ahead and bought a blue light. I was kinda desperate to help my oldest with her forehead (her main trouble spot) I was very surprised but I actually think it works. We noticed an improvement after just one week. I’ve helped them use it on their backs and also think it’s helping there. It’s time consuming but oldest was pretty desperate so she’s putting in the effort.
  4. My mom made me tofu chips in her air fryer and they were amazing! I don’t have an air fryer and sadly can’t get them to come out nicely in my stove. Right now my husband is loving boiled peanuts!
  5. The pickiest 3 won’t do hotdogs. Everyone is eating hamburgers together for the Fourth of July or I’d do that. We’re having people over the following Sunday. Chicken is my best bet I think! No allergies at all. The salad looks great and my family loves cucumbers. The orzo looks like a good idea too! Hummus is awesome and I wonder if the other kids would eat pita because mine would make a meal out of that!
  6. I’m having my husband’s family over to see our new house. Anyone want to help meal plan and give recipe ideas? 10 adults and 10 kids. I’m doing Kabobs because these people like meat. My husband is vegan and my middle kid is vegetarian so Veggie kabobs will work for us too. I’d like a recipe for a cold pearl couscous salad with no dairy if anyone has ideas. I’ll need some kind of bread offering to bulk up the picky kids’ meals. What else? It’s for mid July so it’s going to be hot! Appetizers that can be out for awhile in the heat? thanks!
  7. Shrimp are happy to live in a 5 gallon! They are small and come in lots of colors. They’ve been the easiest to take care of by far. They’re also super fun to watch. They swim and are busy eating plants or algae all day. Corydoras are an easy fish to take care of but they need at least a 10 gallon. They also feel happiest in a group of 5 or more. 1. Make sure you dechlorinate the water. 2. Pretty much all shrimp/fish need a heater. 3. Fish/shrimp need a lot less food then people think. 4. The water does need to be changed.
  8. We also do The Best Christmas Pagent Ever every year. This year I’m reading The Vanderbeekers book. They liked The Three Wise Cats last year.
  9. Dd1: turned 7 in October of first grade Dd2: six Dd3: turned 6 in September of first grade
  10. Anyone know of a good picture book with a character(female) named Elliot? Elle would work as well. Thanks for any ideas!
  11. Song School Latin 1 and 2 we’re both independent for my youngest at 8. She did need help getting the DVDs to the correct chapter. I put the cd’s on my computer and she listened to them easily. My 11 and 10 year old did LforC A this year independently. I’m learning it as well but I didn’t do it with them. I did correct their work and have them fix missed translations.
  12. For us math work isn’t done until it is checked and corrected. So I check it as soon as they’re finished. I sit at the table during math and often check the answers while they are working.
  13. So she can read the book Frog & Toad, but when doing Phonics Pathways she struggles to read the word f-r-o-g and sounds it out oddly? Is that what is going on?
  14. It's worth it for me to join for part of the year. I joined in the fall. I will Get up to date on all the content and deactivate after the Tomie dePaola interview. I cried during his interview last year. I love him! It is quite a large expense for us so I can't justify keeping it the whole year. But I do enjoy it while I have it.
  15. Growing up I went on one vacation ever year. We would spend two weeks about 5 hours away at the same beach resort every summer till I turned 16. My husband went on one vacation his entire childhood. It was to the same resort.
