DawnM
I somehow turned on Kathy Lee Gifford this am. I had it on in the background while I was doing some stuff in the kitchen, and OY! I remember now why she just grates on my nerves. She doesn't listen to anyone, talks over them, and has to throw in her own personal story to everything. How in the world is she hosting anything? It is all about her all the time. I had to go change the channel. Blech! Who grates on your nerves? Ravin
I don't watch any TV that involves "personalities." TheReader
Most of the TV I watch that's of the "TV Personality" variety is shows on Food Network, and the one I hate the most there is Giada. She is just so.very.fake.seeming. That rubber band smile....ick. I know people like her and all but she just completely rubs me the wrong way. Also Alex Gornachelli (sp??) who judges (sometimes) on Chopped; we started being able to guess who would win based on her initial reaction to the contestants; once she likes one, that is it, she will bully (or so it seems) the other judges into going with her guy (and always it's a guy.....).
BarbecueMom
My exposure to TV personalities is pretty limited to sports commentators. The only one who really, really drives me up the wall is Harold Reynolds. If I’m stuck watching a national broadcast (baseball), I have to mute the TV and listen to the local radio broadcast instead. And of course, his voice is the analyst on MLB The Show, so when DH plays that game at night right before I fall asleep, I end up having nightmares that Harold Reynolds is either banally pointing out the obvious in my life or failing to convert metrics into any sort of useful information.

My grandma used to mute the TV anytime John Madden was calling a football game. There is a local football commentator on the radio who really bugs me. moonflower
We got rid of TV (and TV substitutes, like Netflix/Amazon/Roku/whatever) about 7 or 8 years ago. When I see TV now, even "news" shows, at a doctor's office or in the hospital or whatever, everything looks so much more engineered than it used to. I'm not sure if things are more engineered and used to be more natural (somehow I doubt this) or if it's just that I'm not used to seeing or immersing in the medium so the artificiality of it sort of intrudes and I can't suspend disbelief the way I used to be able to do to watch a tv show. So none of it really annoys me, exactly - it's all so very obviously a play, an entertainment with makeup and lights and stage directions and etc.

TravelingChris
For me, it is a lot of the voices of people on the science or NatGeo or History or whatever channel my dh watches. The science channel with some voice saying "Ancient alien theorists suggest' and such like but a lot of it is actually the voice of the people, LIke the Mysteries in the Museum show is very interesting but unless I am having a particularly good day, I cannot stand that host- his voice grates to me and I hate the non- shaved, non bearded look too. David Attenborough's voice and what he says drives me up the wall. (Some actual scientist called it disaster porn yesterday with the whole hullabaloo about the walrus's suicides). The actors always seemed so pulled together in their roles (because they were scripted roles, duh), and I was so disappointed to find out that so many of them came across as self-centered airbrains. It was a wake up call about not confusing a role with the actor playing the role. I can't stand Rush Limbaugh. My husband listens to a podcast about the weather and one of the people on the weather podcast sounds exactly like Rush Limbaugh. It drives me bonkers.
