Onceuponatime
I've been working in the kitchen since I got up this morning. I took a break for lunch and realized I still need to make dinner tonight. :tongue_smilie:

JoyfulMama
When we hosted Thanksgiving, we had everyone arriving on Wed. I put pork and sauerkraut in the crock pot, and served with with mashed potatoes and red beets. This year? Hmmm... I think I'll put the same in the oven. Don't need my oven for much today. yellowperch
My freind owns a pizza parlor and she says tonight will be one of the busiest of her year. We are having leftovers fromthe week--they'll have two soups, mashed potatoes, and some roast pork and grilled chicken. Soup and fresh salad for DH, me and visting grandparents. Which brings to mind another imortant question: breakfast tommorow? Ideas? I don't want the usual Sunday morning foraging. Need a plan. OnTheBrink
Left-overs, or something easy, like ramen noodles or canned soup.
Parrothead
I don't have anything to cook until late tonight. For us it will be something light. ETA: Pasta tossed with pesto, salad and some bread. Edited November 24, 2010 by Parrothead
MamaT
My 13yo dd is going to cook us breakfast for dinner tonight. She has been so much help this morning. We have baked 10 pies, made cornbread for dressing, and chopped all our veggies for tomorrow!
AuntieM
Pirate Supper! Every man, woman and child for himself, wildly foraging the fridge and cubboards for any morsels not required for Thanksgiving meal preparations! Gotta make room for the *new* leftovers, kwim?!! Carrie12345
I have leftover chili in the freezer and plenty of noodles on hand. Chili noodles it is!

lisabelle
Tonight it's just pasta with alfredo sauce and roasted zucchini and mushrooms. And maybe some fruit on the side. The only things I make the day before Thanksgiving are the pumpkin pie and the cranberry sauce and I can do those in the early afternoon while the ds is doing schoolwork. Perry
I make crockpot chili in the morning, so I'm free the rest of the day.
Sherry in OH
I'm leaning toward a choice of fried eggs or grilled cheese with a side of beans. I'm still trying to figure out how I am going to fit tomorrow's leftovers in my refrigerator with Saturday's turkey thawing in it.
Liza Q
I make crockpot chili in the morning, so I'm free the rest of the day. I made mine (well, in a pot, not a crockpot) yesterday!

DarlaS
I have put about 2 lbs of cubed steak into the slow cooker. I rolled it in flour, salt & pepper and browned it in oil first. Then I put into the food processor a can of fire roasted diced tomatoes, 2 cloves garlic (I'm wondering if 1 would have been enough) a bit of brown sugar, about 1/2 an onion and some Worcestershire sauce. Whirled that for a bit (Two of my kids will not eat identifiable onions) and poured it over the steaks. It smells good--a little more garlicky than I had in mind. I'm not sure what to call it. kristavws
Spaghetti with meat sauce and a side salad. I figure we will be having turkey something for the next several days, so everyone might appreciate something with a different kind of meat! Jen in PA
I made extra cornbread when I was prepping for the stuffing, so it will be that and whatever soup I find in the freezer that sounds best with it (probably potato-cheese or taco soup).
