When I worked for the sister agency, 80% meant they pay 80% of the health premiums paid for a full time employee, you get 80% of full time vacation benefits (should be very generous), etc. Should be a good retirement plan with matching benefits after a year. He'd go in Friday night and come home Sunday night or go in Sat morning and come home Monday morning. then he'd work OT during the week.
