I do this every Thanksgiving! I take out the turkey, plonk it on foil, wrap securely, wrap it in a beach towel, and place it in a cooler. 1.5 hours later, it is still steaming when we unwrap it! Good luck!

You are a patient kitty owner! Psyco is lucky to have you. My sister's cat has the crystal in urine problem, and she started feeding him a small amt of cooked chicken every day, she read that meat increases the urine acidityor alkalinity (can't remember) and since then he has had no problems. every couple of months he'd have to go to the vet for IV's, and it's been 6 months now with no vet visit. I read that cats hate sharing their litter boxes, and you should have at least one more box than number of cats. If it didn't help psycho, maybe the other cats could go without fearing an attack! I hope somehow he settles down for everyone!

We have Ecowater water softener, iron filter, and reverse osmosis under the kitchen sink. They work well. We have had them for about 18 years, and they mostly just run. You have to buy salt for the softener. I think the whole thing was around 3-4K. Our Costco here in San Diego is selling Ecowater systems, and I heard that the Sears brand is by Ecowater.

I truly understand! My son got back from a 2 week church trip to Kenya, which seemed so cool at first! When he was 2 weeks out, I couldn't believe how I could have ever thought it was cool! What were we thinking! My mantras were "most things work out well,"and EGBOK (everything's gonna be ok)! And, it was very good for him to have gone. Hugs and prayers for you, and your daughter!
