Raiders of the Lost Ark

Inception

Others that I love (&, yes, some have raunchy humor):

Bridget Jones's Diary (only the first one)

The Painted Veil

Die Hard (only the first one)

Horrible Bosses

The Hangover (only the first one)

The Intoucables

And, right now, I've got a little Kevin Costner eye candy thing going on, so I like his recent one 3 Days to Kill.

I'm not much of a movie person, I prefer TV series'. Even when I think of movies I like, the ones that stick out are ones with one or two good sequels. So, Die Hard, Rush Hour, Lethal Weapon, X-Men and Fast and Furious are on my list

It's Complicated was a big hit with DH and I for a Rom-Com

Oh, and The Pacifier was very funny

And it might be a disney movie, but I love Mulan.

ETA: For a family movie you have to watch Cool Runnings

My answer to this is going to depend upon the day or maybe hour... we tend to like family type films, clean comedy, or adventure, but there are exceptions.

Secondhand Lions

Chicken Run

Fun with Dick and Jane

Jumanji

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

Jurassic Park

Star Wars (original stuff)

The Killing Fields (most memorable from my youth)

Hotel Rwanda

Chariots of Fire

Twelve Years a Slave

Awakenings

Gifted Hands

Les Miserables

The Pursuit of Happyness

RV

Schindler's List

Slumdog Millionaire

So a list of 18 before I'm drawing a blank... pick 10 as the list can vary.

My all time favorites: (they might be a little tame)

Sound of Music

What's Up Doc

Funny Girl

The Lake House

While You Were Sleeping

Babette's Feast

Sense and Sensibility

Singing in the Rain

Philadelphia Story (most movies with Cary Grant, Katherine Hepburn, or Audrey Hepburn)

Most old Hitchcock movies (not Psycho)

Of relatively modern movies, I really liked The Prestige. Recently, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty was very enjoyable.

I think you may have the same taste in movies that I do.  I have seen several of these and have them as favorites too.

I highlighted the ones I have seen so I can look at the rest of the list later.  I really want to see 12 Years a Slave soon.

and to some extent

Secondhand Lions

are all of a similar genre to the bulk of what we've both seen and enjoyed (Secondhand Lions adds more comedy).

Chicken Run

Fun With Dick and Jane

RV

and to some extent

Secondhand Lions

are all cute comedies that are just fun to watch.  ;)

Some Classic Films:

Pretty much any Hitchcock film, but especially "Notorious", Dial M for Murder", "Rear Window", and "Strangers on a Train."

Pretty much any Astaire/Rogers musical.  I think it's because i can't dance to save my life.

"High Society" with Grace Kelly, Bing Crosby, and Frank Sinatra over "The Philadelphia Story" with Katherine Hepburn.

"Penny Serenade" with Cary Grant and Irene Dunne  (warning tear jerker)

"Charade" with Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn

"Funny Face" with Audrey and Fred Astaire

"An Affair to Remember" Cary Grant version

"Sabrina" with Audrey Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart

"Roman Holiday" with Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck

OK…I'm way past 10 and I'm no where near done. :)

Oh…if you want to try Bollywood flicks ( a lot are on Netflix), I loved "Veer Zaara" or pretty much anything with Shah Rukh Khan in it.

PrincessMommy, you're the only other person I know of who's heard of Ushpizin let alone have it in their top ten. What an exquisite movie. Did you know that the woman who played Shuli Rand's wife was actually his wife? The only way they could film the movie and still be in accordance with rabbinic law was for his wife to actually be his wife. She was wonderful!
