MindyD
I'd turned ours off, but we've been back in the 80s. I can't stand it anymore so I just turned our air conditioner back on. It just feels wrong somehow. It's almost November!!! Anyone else? We've in Charleston, SC by the way.
TexasRachel
We use our year round, so I don't know that I should post. Come "winter" we switch from heat to a/c from one day to the next. It is supposed to be in the 70s this weekend so it won't run, but we still won't turn it off.
Mama Geek
Ours is still on in New Orleans area. The highs are supposed to be in the 60's starting on Saturday.
Mommy22alyns
Yes, at night because our days are still in the 80s right now.
Twigs
Yes, ours is still on. I'm not going to be miserable just because of what the calendar says. The temp is what it is.
thewaka
High of 75 today (and it has been in the 80s this week) but there is a freeze warning for tonight and this weekend. We switch back and forth between A/C and heat, using open windows and fans when the weather is nice.
Tutor
Here. Hopefully this is the last day, though. The temperature is supposed to drop 20-30 degrees over the next 24-48 hours. Ahhh...
Jpoy85
we had it on low yesterday after having the heat on last week. :001_huh:
Unicorn.
As Rachel says, in TX we pretty much use it year round. I'm looking forward to this weekend, with a high of 62 predicted for Sat, and Sun in the 60's. By Monday or Tuesday we will be back in the high 80's again, I'm sure. Live2Ride
still going here in South Louisiana and will sometimes go well into November :D
Bearcat
Turned ours off over a month ago and have not turned the heat on yet. I was tempted to turn the heat on a few weeks ago but just put socks and a sweater on instead.:001_smile: We are tight about using the AC/Heat. We were in the 80s yesterday and high 70s today but without the humidity it is just lovely. All the windows are open and we are loving it. MindyD
See, we have LOTS of humidity here. If I hadn't cooked lunch, the house wouldn't have heated up as much either. I KNEW I should have taken the kids out for lunch today! :tongue_smilie:
Juniper
Just had the repairs guys out to fix it. Still running! :glare:
alisoncooks
Yep, turned ours off but had to turn it back on.
Nestof3
Mine is on today. It's not hot outside, but it's kind of humid, and the house becomes too humid.
mamajag
I'd turned ours off, but we've been back in the 80s. I can't stand it anymore so I just turned our air conditioner back on. It just feels wrong somehow. It's almost November!!! Anyone else? We've in Charleston, SC by the way. We have run the heat overnight twice. Other than that cold front, we've run the AC every day since about March. I'm not complaining. I don't like cold weather and the yuck that comes with it. Mandy in TN
Count me in. If the house gets above 75, I turn on the air. I hate summer weather and can't wait for it to feel more fall-ish. :glare: Mandy
Chelli
As the other TX ladies have mentioned, it's still hot here. 89 degrees today, but not as humid as yesterday.
LittleIzumi
It snowed this morning. :tongue_smilie:
acurtis75
As the other TX ladies have mentioned, it's still hot here. 89 degrees today, but not as humid as yesterday. About the same here. As a matter of fact when I left a few hours ago for my doctor's appointment dd was actively trying to talk dh in to going swimming. The water is probably pretty cold but it is so hot outside she was convinced it would be fine.
higginszoo
We still have it on here in Central Texas, too (though we did have a week where we had the heat on). Having grown up in New Orleans and Charleston more than anywhere else, I don't find it odd, though.
TravelingChris
It has been in the mid 80's here, so yes. I will be switching to heating early next week when we will have nights in the 30's from an Arctic Blast.
ChiMomNP
I have not used it in a few days here in Phoenix. I'm hoping we don't need to use it much until next May.
Ellie
Central Texas here. Yup, the AC still runs, although not as much. We'll be running the AC until after Thanksgiving. :glare:
SunnyDays
We've been back and forth a few times already. We had the heat on for a few days a couple weeks back, then the house opened up for days. Early this week was not terribly hot but super humid, and it was so uncomfortable I finally kicked the air back on yesterday. Overnight we had a cold front move through. It's 45 degrees right now and we'll have to turn on the heat tonight. :D Welcome to the midwest...
CAMom
I had it on for a while yesterday. It's supposed to be 90* again here by Saturday. I'm sick of it!:glare:

lisamarie
We've been using the furnace for the past few weeks, but yesterday when the house warmed up to 75, I had to turn the a/c on. It's been running since last night. But tomorrow it's supposed to drop back into the 50s so then we'll have to turn the furnace back on. Oh how I love spring and fall when we have to play the a/c-furnace yo-yo game.
The Girls' Mom
Yes, but only because of allergy issues. I would LOVE to just open up all the windows and let the cooler air in...but then two people in this house can't breathe :glare:
Lady Florida.
We use our year round, so I don't know that I should post. Come "winter" we switch from heat to a/c from one day to the next. It is supposed to be in the 70s this weekend so it won't run, but we still won't turn it off. That's how it is here. This weekend Sandy should bring our temps down, but it will still be humid because of all the rain. We've had a few nights with it off, but we'll be using it for at least another month. Then we play the heat-a/c-open the windows game until April or May.

Pippen
I switched back to AC this week when temps hit 80. I could have lived with the temp but the house was really humid.
Heatherwith4
Yep, it's been in the 80's this week. I actually haven't turned on the heat yet, but that will change this weekend, because it's getting chilly starting Saturday.
Mona100
Still using mine but not as much. Hopefully, by this weekend I won't have to turn it on again till March?
