I *love* the PuritanBoard, but I am reformed :D Many there are extremely well-read, and they aren't young guys in their 20s who just discovered Calvinism and are all fired up to convince other people. It is a very respectful place and you can learn a lot about reformed belief there from those who take accuracy in history and theology very seriously. It includes paedo and credo baptists as well as many who prefer the KJV for textual reasons. I have visited the Catholic Answers forums, too. Active and interesting.

I don't think you are "non-KJV." I am not anti-KJV. I *am* anti-"KJV for everyone because the rest are the tools of Satan." My pastor uses the KJV and he is also not an Onlyist. That position often seems to say that if you don't believe in using only the KJV, then you are saying it is a bad translation, you don't support the deity of Christ, etc. And far too many who are KJVO are not well-read in history and with little knowledge of how translation works. I have no problem whatsoever with those who prefer the KJV but don't make it a legalistic requirement of all Christians.

Yup! And why aren't they Vulgate onlyists instead? It had been in use for 1200 years when the KJV was published. Can anyone else understand how the KJV can be complete if there aren't complete OT and NT in original languages? That, to me, sounds like the KJV *must* have been reinspired, leading to Ruckman's position that if the Hebrew or Greek differ from the KJV, then change the Hebrew or Greek!

What makes you think you can't stop someone from carrying on your property? Trespassing laws would still apply. You might have to ask the person instead of him/her disclosing, but you can still then eject the person from your property. I don't know any responsible person, CC or not, who would refuse to leave if told to.

DD16 started this last year in 10th. By October, we were starting to consider making it 9th again. She is fine academically and more than mature enough but has no idea what she wants to do after graduation. She is also really enjoying baskeball, which she only started playing last year. She has decided this year was 9th so she gets an extra year of planning and bball rather than take a gap year with no bball. Her birthday is in February which isn't a typical date for "red shirting" but we don't think that will be a problem. I am in Oklahoma with no testing or registration requirements, so I don't know what I would have done otherwise, but I think in most cases there is no reason not to make the change on paper until 9th grade. Just keep in mind the transcript! That is my only problem with us doubling 9th instead of 8th.

I love Susan Garrett! We have a standard poodle (which I wanted after researching many breeds), and he is fabulous. I think a standard poo would be great for what you want. However, although they don't shed, their hair doesn't stop growing, just like human hair, so there is quite a bit of grooming required. This would provide an excellent way for your DD to bond with the dog, though.

He was upset at how the cliff hanger ending left him hanging! I too was upset at the possible death of Glenn. Did I miss that Maggie had a miscarriage? I don't remember hearing anything about her pregnancy in several episodes. Pete needed dying but wow! I had totally forgotten about the sword just hanging there. Not sure I want to be like Carol anymore :) Hurry up and do something about Gabriel. He doesn't make sense and irritates me. I think Sasha might be the only sane one. When staying at my in-laws house, MIL actually had to be told that turning on an overhead light to use the computer in a room a child is sleeping in disturbed the child's sleep. FIL even said how would they know if we didn't tell them. Some people really are that clueless :( We are having to learn some of the same kinds of things you are and I am finally looking into the "Boundaries" book everyone keeps mentioning that until now I thought didn't apply to us. Again, I am so thankful for those who are willing to post issues like this so that I can learn.
