  1. We pay during the school year and contribute in the summer months. Dd does a lot of driving her siblings around and her having a vehicle often saves me driving her to town, dropping her off and driving back in to get her. So long as her grades are high, she is dedicated in her athletics and not in trouble we pay. We do not allow her to work during the school year, so when summer hits we do have her contribute to the gas tank.
  2. My dd has asked me to find her some thorough online courses this summer to prep her for AP English 11 and something else for Govt/politics AP. We just got her PSAT scores back and although she did just fine, she does not feel this years Honors english has challenged her enough to be successful next year. She knows she can work through Khan academy, but wants more structure. Everything I am finding is more semester or year in length. Any ideas? Thanks! Simka.

  4. Bunnies are a blast. You have to watch the heat a bit, but frozen 2 liters and good grooming habit go along ways. There are quite a few angora clubs down your way. :)
  5. More farming than crafting, but this year I am working with a group of angora rabbit breeders to increase the micron count of our herds. We have to send in samples to a lab 4 times a years and see how big a difference we can make in a year. Beyond that I am doing a lot of spinning and dyeing of my own 100% angora. I taught myself tunisian crochet a few days ago and love it! I have tried to knit so many times and just can't do it well. Tunisian crochet gives me the look, but in a way in can handle. :)
  6. I was bored and annoyed. The nurses that had to hang out in the room were a bit trying. Other than that it was not too bad. :)
  7. We bleed soccer here. Well, soccer and horses. Kids dabble successfully in other sports, but with their mom being a trainer and their dad being a coach and ref, they are kinda doomed. :)
  8. Well since essentials oils have become so mainstream I figured I better. :) It confuses the heck out of me on FB! ;)
  9. Yup! I will broaden my title to make it clearer. :)
  10. I did not leave Christianity, but I did leave the "Protestant Church" (in quotes because someone always wants to debate what I actually mean, just take it in its broadest sense) for some, but not all, of the reasons you mention. I was just reading an article a few moments ago where one of our Priests mentions exactly what you did....becoming more judgmental. Here is the article http://www.pravmir.com/which-came-first-the-church-or-the-new-testament/ With that I will let this go back to others. :)
  11. I wanted to ask this here in case we have any newbies or lurkers who have not made it to the sub group. ;) I was curious what everyone daily schedules look like (or looked like) with kids in the home? I know this is uber domestic, but I love seeing what others are doing. Heck, i would love to see what you hope to be doing! ;) What time to do you get up? Prayers? Alone? With kids? Things of that nature. Mornings and evenings are my primary focus right now. Fall is coming (here it seems like we have not gotten summer) and is when I love to tweak these things. :)
  12. I think his wife is coming out with blog at his behest. Or is it already out?
