Seattle, WA (4 years of college)

Pasadena, CA (17 years after college)

Charlotte, NC (4 years now)

Also lived in Indiana on furlough as a child.

My dad was military, but these moves were all after I was born and he was out of the military. :001_huh: I was born into an adventurous family, I guess.

I'm not going anywhere else, unless the kids throw me into a nursing home.

Lots of places visited, but not that many lived in!

I was born in Tennessee and lived in 4 places there growing up and in young adulthood.

I moved to Baton Rouge to live with friends for a short time, met my husband, got married, and stayed there for 15 years, having both my children there.

(For a job assignment in Tunica, Mississippi, at one time, I did have to live in Helena, Arkansas, for about three months, too.)

I've now lived in Lexington, Ky, for 11 years.

My family has a house in Eustus, Florida, that I've spent time at throughout my life, but I've never "lived" there for any extended period of time.

We moved twice before we moved to Germany. Then I think we moved 3 times there, plus temps. Then 2 more cities for my childhood. Another for college. Then 3 here.

That would be 2 continents - North America and Europe

2 countries - USA and Germany

4 states - Georgia, Michigan, Virginia, North Carolina

10 cities - don't remember all the names

Hmmm, that depends on what you call 'living' in a place and whether you consider nearby towns as living in a different place.

Pleasantville, NY (yes, that's it's real name) for my first 18 years

Clinton, NY

Williamsburg, VA

College Park, MD (but only for a month or two when I got out of college)

Williamsburg, VA again

Tryon, NC (but only for a month or two with my parents early in my adult life)

Boca Raton, FL

Pompano Beach, FL

Boca Raton, FL again

Hillsboro Mile, FL

Moscow, Russia

Pompano Beach, FL (only for a couple of months while we looked for a place after returning from Moscow)

Fort Lauderdale, FL

Deerfield Beach, FL

Tryon, NC, again with my parents (only for a couple of months after the house sold while still waiting to move to England)

Plantation, FL (same as above)

Braunton, England

Mortehoe, England

Woolacombe, England

Kommetjie, South Africa (for a three month visit)

and about to move to Morwenstow, England

There are actually quite a few other places, but they were all transitional housing for less than two months.

We've been in our current house for 4.5 years, and it's the longest I've been in one house since I graduated high school.

I've lived in four different states in the U.S., 18 years in the same state now and don't plan to move anytime soon.

My mother has lived in the same state for her whole life, the same town for 60 years now. She has dementia and I'm constantly being asked if we're going to move her here. It's sort of a family joke because she always said she'd kill herself if anyone tried to move her out of that town and is still clear enough to tell me that every once and awhile. Years go when my Dad got a chance to take a 1-year sabbatical away, she said that she'd file for divorce if he took it.

Our generation is obviously quite mobile.

Being Navy and then switching over to Army makes for a nice mix of duty stations!

One country: USA

One state: Florida

Two counties: Broward (Coral Springs, Coconut Creek, Pompano Beach and Pembroke Pines and Palm Beach (Boca Raton) - which is the next county over and only for two years. Basically, I have lived in Broward county Florida my entire life.

What a sheltered life.

We did just buy a vacation home in NC though and go as often as we can with the hope of relocating there in the future. So, that will probably make two states for my entire lifetime.
