  1. Can't wait to hear what you think of this book; I've been eying it at B & N for months! It just looks daunting to me-lol
  2. oh, thanks, Katie. Have you ordered it from Amazon??
  3. Has anyone used this? Someone recommended it to me, so thought I'd get other opinions. thanks, s
  4. I think that you should so you can help me out- LOL I just finished Katherine by Anya Seton- loved it!
  5. I have ebook gift cards:party: I'm going to try to tackle The Lymond Chronicles after Christmas :001_smile::001_smile: Do I need volume I of the Companion Guide, Volume II, or both? Volume II is available on Nook, but I'm not sure it will cover what I need. susanar
  6. Wow, it is so hard to believe that my hs journey is ending after 12 years. Next week Ds will finish the courses that I facilitate. He will continue with CC this spring. Last week he received notice that he was awarded a full scholarship from his school of choice :001_smile::001_smile: I am a proud Mama! I began TWTM when he was in 2nd grade. These boards have been an enormous source of info and support. Thanks to all!
  7. Hi - Just wondering if you're still out there somewhere... I'm wondering if you've long ago sold the slide set you listed and I should move on to another source... Hope all is well

  8. Hey there kwikimom and i love lucy! I'm 5'11" and just joined WW on Tuesday. When dh and I married 18 years ago I weighed 128- I've gained 43 lbs!!! I'm trying to loose 20 lb. I hope that my age (52) doesn't make it more difficult!! How are you two doing now?? **I know that this thread is old, but I was searching the boards for a book and stumbled across it-LOL
  9. Any suggestions for a weekend mystery read that isn't too racy?
  10. We only used one Apologia text, and I think Jay Wile co-wrote the book. My ds is a senior now, so I don't remember much, but I did hear him speak at a conference and chatted with him afterward. Funny, because I remember being struck by his humility. Maybe it is how the writing comes across?
  11. Ds, a senior, is so glad testing is over! He increased his score one point which was what he needed to apply for the highest scholarship at his college of choice. He hoped to gain two points-but it's good enough for me!! Now we start the process for dd who is a junior.
  12. we will begin LL speech on Monday. I just finished entering the lesson plans to the computer. I'm impressed with the book and the course!
  13. I liked Doomsday and To Say Nothing (I thought it was hilarious, but then again, I read it on 30 hour plane trip, so maybe I was delirious:001_smile::001_smile:) My sil loved the Outlander (or something like that) books, but they were toooooo racy for me
  14. We used ALEKS online as a supplement. Long ago they had a 30 day free trial:001_smile:
