@Starr That tree is gorgeous!!  I want the tree and the sort of house where it'd look perfect!

This make your own hot sauce kit seems fun:

I remembered what I was planning to post: https://puzzlingpursuits.com/products/la-famiglia

It's a story with puzzles.  We (four adults) had a lot of fun figuring it out and plan to get the second part)

It reminds me of Journal 29 which I think I've posted about before.  https://journal29.com/

Those look amazing. How difficult is Journal 29? Would it be too hard for a young teen?

Hmmm.  We're all adults ...  Some puzzles were very quick to get.  Some were quick to understand what sort of answer we needed but getting it was a challenge.  Some took persistence and setting it aside for a bit.

I think a teen who liked puzzles and was willing to be persistent would like it.

You need internet access to submit answers.  That yields a key word that's needed later so you need to solve in order.  There is a place to ask for help or get clues.  I never noticed anything bad posted.

Here's where you get hints: https://hints.journal29.com/viewforum.php?f=5

@Kareni love the wordle ornament if I can think of perfect words!

I like giving art and supporting artists!

If you don't have a local or affordable source Society 6 is a possibility.  Artists submit work that gets made into prints or a bunch of other things like yoga mats!

I have this print and love it!  https://society6.com/product/winter-woods2689092_recessed-framed-print

We did one of these on ds' birthday - it was a miserable day - cold rain, the restaurant he picked and we made reservations at canceled because of Covid. BUT this game made it  so much fun and memorable.

Many of you may have enjoyed the game Sleeping Queens, created by a home schooler and her family.  I'm happy to report that Sleeping Queens 2: The Rescue has been released. Gamewright description here. It's available from your favorite internet game purveyors.

(Admittedly, I'd like to see the game succeed since I am friends with the family that created SQ and SQ2. That's the fine print!)

Very cool! My middle and youngest have really enjoyed SQ. I added SQ2 to youngest's wish list. 😊

Got an email from Cognitive Surplus today about this gift box.  I don’t know what’s in this particular box, and it will very likely sell out quickly, but a very lazy Santa brought dd21 the Mysteries of the Deep set as a stocking (we can’t hang actual stockings because of my adorable, troublemaking avatar) and it was lovely!

This book of non-alcoholic cocktails looks amazing!  Expensive but amazing!

https://www.theaviarybooks.com/shop/p/zero-a-new-approach-to-non-alcoholic-drinks-reserve-edition

At the beginning of the pandemic I started learning how to mix drinks but I'm over the alcohol bit.  I would invest in this book if I could know for sure they're not all sugary.

(I do mix a great martini!)

If you are familiar with Australian author/illustrator Shaun Tan you might like to own some of his art work. It is available for international shipping from the Beinart Gallery.

Here is an example from his book "Rules of Summer"-

Thanks for this.

I'll add to check out Shaun Tan's books. Any of them would make a nifty gift. I especially love The Singing Bones.

Still browsing the Neiman Marcus catalog (and remembering that I've heard it called Needless Markup) and wondering what in particular makes this garland spiritual....

Clearly you aren’t spiritual enough to understand 😜

My husband said it's a spiritual garland because everyone who sees it says, "Holy sh*t!"

I know what were doing for New Year's Eve this year. Every year we play games but this year I think we are going to do this instead. Just bought it. Thank you!
