Ginevra Posted April 13, 2015 Share Posted April 13, 2015 And I just feel helpless. :( my mother went in for surgery last Thursday to remove a fibroid tumor. They did not release her Saturday as expected because she was not digesting properly. She's still there. This morning, my sister texted me that BIL had a heart attack. :( So he is in the hospital, too. wendyroo Posted April 13, 2015 Share Posted April 13, 2015 Maybe it would help if you focused on even a small thing that you could do. Do either of the hospitals offer eGreetings? Some will even allow you to order flowers or magazines online that they will deliver to patients...if your mom is well enough to read a magazine. If your sister will be at the hospital for a while you might be able to put money on their room account for her to use at the cafeteria. Or if they have kids maybe you could figure out how to get in touch with them and be a familiar, reassuring voice in a stressful time.
