Popular Post gardenmom5
I'm gonna be a grandma!!!!   I have refused to ask, I have refused to put any pressure. I don't want to be "that" mother/mother-in-law. but after dsil got his mba last spring, and dd climbed the half-dome last summer - I knew they were hoping. and she had said things - but I refused to say anything. I'm very excited.

gardenmom5
That’s super exciting! When is she due? she thinks the beginning of sep. she suspected when the boys were visiting her between christmas and new years - but she didn't want to test with them in the house. I was looking up baby afghan patterns during that week. I found an ADORABLE one with a family of elephants (applique) and balloons. .. . she likes elephants It's too cute.. . . but no pattern, so I've had to track down similiar elephant and balloon patterns and will figure it out on my own. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/300122762661676834/ :001_wub:

sassenach
1st - what does this mean? 2nd - Congratulations!   It's a challenging hike in Yosemite. Not something most people could do while pregnant, but something that someone might want to check off their bucket list before having babies. I figure there will come a day I will buy a nice baby hiking backpack - as she loves to hike. eta: the picture on all trails is taken from glacier point. Lady Florida.
Congratulations! Welcome to the club. Grandkids are such fun. Oh, and that afghan is adorable. Better get started, especially if you're going to have to figure some of it out on your own.

gardenmom5
How exciting!! How is she feeling? I think she's doing ok - it takes a lot to slow her down - she said she felt some symptoms in dec, but I didn't ask for clarification - too excited about the news. and, we were both on cell phones, so audio quality. . there were times I had to guess what was being said. they called on her dh's cell phone. gardenmom5
Oh that is totally precious! I love elephants anyway, but those are too cute on the neutral field color. I’m sure you can recreate it! I found the blanket it's based upon - then do whatever you want for the applique. there are some darling ones on pinterest. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/brooklyn-baby-blanket---35-x-35 it's a box stitch pattern, with a wide border. the "official" pattern, and its border variations is $4 from revelry.
