Roadrunner
I will have a very young 3rd grader (still debating if he belongs in that grade). Similar to his older brother, we seem to have done well picking materials for this year with few exceptions, so minimal changes going forward. He will be doing SOTW 2 and part of 3 with his older brother. BFSU2 for science (with his brother) + maybe some SM science SYRWTLF 2, J'apprend a lire, dictation and short stories for French (with his brother) SM4 and BA for math Megawords for spelling (with his brother) He is doing very well with k12 lit, so we will continue with grade 4 books next year. MCT Island for grammar Sandlier Orange for vocab He didn't do well with WWE2 (hated the program), so I think we will take a year break from it and let him mature for selections. I am hoping he will be ready for CAP Fable, but if not,I will have to think something else for writing.
Butter
Fritz was in 2nd grade in public school, but part of the reason we pulled him back out was because he wasn't being challenged and had lost some academic skills since we put him in public school in August. So we're basically starting 3rd grade stuff right now. Most of it has arrived. Still waiting on a couple things that will probably come this week.  Math: Singapore 3 and LoF (up to Goldfish - we've been using it even while he was in school) Language Arts/Reading - Easy Peasy 3, Shurley 3, Spelling Power, D'Nealian Handwriting 2 (was already using that while in school so keeping on with it), LoF LA, Reading Eggspress Social Studies and Science - DownloadNGo (we are alternating one week a science topic, one week a social studies one - he does this with his little brother) Latin - SongSchool Latin 1 (with his little brother) PE - Taekwondo (he takes classes 2 times a week), plus an informal co-op Religion - Discover the Scriptures Book of Mormon

Chrysalis Academy
Oh geez, you mean I have to plan for two kids now??  I kinda forgot about that . . .  I'm actually not planning much for this one, it seems like we're starting a lot of "3rd grade" stuff this spring, so we'll jut keep going with that, but I have no idea where she'll be next, and when she'll be there.  This child I find fairly impossible to plan for, she is changeable, and developing rapidly, and we're both still surprised by what she likes and doesn't like.  So here is what the beginning of 3rd grade will probably look like, but who know where it will go from there . . .  Math - BA with a side of MM LA -  finish LOE,     finish MCT Island if we don't this year (which we may. If we do, no idea what we'll do next.  I don't know if she'll be ready for Town)     CAP's Writing & Rhetoric     keep working on cursive  Literature - I'm putting together an Origins of Fantasy unit based around the Hobbit, she will tag along for all the read alouds (fairy tales, Norse myths, and fantasy stories)  History - keep doing Ancient history, because she loves it and that's what her sister will be doing  Science - I dunno.  I haven't really "taught" science this year, she's geting a lot from docos and reading.  I did buy some Magic Schoolbus kits.  If she likes those, I'll probably keep going that route - let her read about and do activities on things she finds interesting.  She will probably tag along with her sister's science too.  Spanish - she is really liking her Spanish workbook, but she'll have finished it by then . . . no idea what we'll do next

chelsmm
I haven't really thought a lot about next year- just trying to figure out this year still!  DD is going to start AAS 1 this week. I imagine she will fly through and move onto AAS2 pretty quickly. So we will go from there.  We are doing WWE now, but I'm not sure we will continue. We'll see.  Sentence family continued  Lit- read alouds and audiobooks.  HWOT cursive if she's not done with it by then. She's getting pretty good so I don't think it wi be necessary to continue handwriting much longer.  Reading- on her own daily  Math- Singapore. She's on 2b now, so probably level 3 for next year. LOF for fun.  Science- Mr Q's earth science, Bill Nye, Magic School Bus, museum of science. We love science. :)  History- right now we are doing American. I think we will be done by next fall, well, as far as I want to go for now. We abandoned SOTW 1 half way through in favors of amer hx and will likely go back to ancients.  Piano  Judo three times a week  Girl Scouts  Music and art- just a random mix of whatever we happen to do. ForeverFamily
Wow, I can't believe that my Dd is going to be in 3rd, where has the time gone.  My very rough plans for next year are...  Math: Singapore 3 and possibly try Beast Academy  Spelling: AAS 4/5  Grammar: FLL Level 3, GWG 3, and MCT Island  Writing: This is my biggest question mark (currently in the stage of researching it to death) . My Dd is getting frustrated with some aspects of WWE. I think we may continue with it, possibly using the guide rather than the workbook but we will see. I also want to add some other type of writing program as this is one of my Dd's strong subjects and I think she is ready for more than just WWE. I have looked in to possibly using CW or CC. Or maybe doing our own thing. Maybe MCT Island will be enough of an addition. I think we may continue WWW as well (I will see if my Dd will let me drop it, but I think she will be sad if I do).  Reading: Possibly Sonlight Core D readers, still thinking on this as well  Science: Finish up RSO Earth and Space and Start RSO Chemistry (we are a bit behind)  History: Finish up Middle Ages and Renaissance with SOTW and continue to SOTW 3 ( we are a bit behind here to)  Latin: I plan to start Lively Latin, but we will see how it goes  Art: Keep using HAS as well as our own projects  P.E.: Continue with Iceskating and start FTF  Music: Continue our study of composers as well as piano  That's the tentative plan for now. I am sure a lot will change. I feel like I can't think much about it until we are moved and settled into our new house.

Vanchy
Math: Math-U-see and Life of Fred LA: Spelling - All about spelling: Phonics - ETC, Grammar - Winston Grammar; Writing - finish WWE1 and start WWE2; Literature - still working on this History (World and American) - Unit Studies Geography (World and USA) - Unit studies Science (General and Nature study) - Unit studies Music - Weekly piano lessons Art - Weekly art classes Foreign language: Spanish PE: Soccer, karate and swimming  Extra: Co-op. classes once a week and field trips  I divided history, geography and science (as you can see in my list) and work on each part twice a week. For example: Monday - World history and world geography, Tuesday - American history and USA geography.... Same with the science. So far, this works the best for us. We do unit studies for a month, and each month we learn something new. My son has tendency to lose interest quickly, and on this way I keep him interested for learning and he has lot of fun doing school.
Desert Strawberry
I'm actually not that concerned about Aries. He's my easy student, does whatever I give him, whips through everything, doesn't have strong opinions. My biggest difficulty with him is keeping him focussed.  Finish up Funnix Beginning Math, LOF Apples-Edgewood Funnix 2 and Funnix Reader FLL 2 Mensa book list Copywork, dictations, narrations made by me :) Donna Young Cursive Science- library book based units to be decided America, the Story of Us, supplemented with picture books and read alouds art, music, and foreign language to be decided.
