About Wolf's Job Opportunity...

Recommended Posts

I promised I'd update when we heard anything.

No, the job offer letter has not yet come to his email.

HOWEVER...

He spoke to the guy, and the guy will be calling back in the next 90 mins to verbally go over the job offer, and then it will be typed up, and should be in his email before the end of business today.

So, HE GOT THE JOB!!! I'm nervous about celebrating before we have the actual document in hand, but...

:hurray::party::hurray:

Update in #47

Let's hope the guy found his way back to our time continuum and 90 minutes does not equal 3-4 days :)

No kidding!

Let yourself relax a little!!!!!!

I think you mentioned in a previous post/thread that you would be moving quite a distance. Does that mean you'll be further away from...certain negative personalities? :001_smile:

Yeah, but downside is, there's nowhere else for them to stay, other than w/us.

So, phone call happened. It's all accepted by Wolf, so just have to wait for it to be typed up and emailed. :D

Now the panic is setting in.

I've already called and booked an appt w/my pain specialist for a referral, called our hsing facilitator to try and see her before we leave (we do 2 visits a yr)...

And facing the reality that me attempting to help pack, move, etc is bogus. Working 1 armed sucketh.

I'm nauseated. I *think* it's excited butterflies...

Weird. We've been hoping and praying for this, and now that it's 98% sure (I won't feel 100% until it's in writing) I'm freaking out. So much to do in such a short period of time.

Praying big time that we can find a place that will accept us having our dog...that's our next huge concern. Wolf goes next wknd to look at rentals, and try and line something up.

You'll be amazed at how quickly it will all fall into place. Wishing you good luck and peace. Let us know when the letter shows up.

The best moving advise I ever got was to rent the truck, and then pay moving guys by the hour to pack the truck (add the kitchen if you can, they are amazingly fast with the packing paper and boxes). We rented dollies and moving blankets and bought rope, bubble wrap, large shrink wrap roll (for the sofa), and tons of tape. I told the guys if they needed something I would go get it, that I wanted it like using professionals, except for us driving the truck. It worked well, and cost a fraction of using a moving company. Oh, and we had guys from a moving company lined up on the other side (same deal, hourly) to unload. Yours may be willing to follow since it isn't that far away, our move was long distance.

This is 5 hrs away. It is considered 'long distance' by moving co.

And we can't drive the truck...I don't drive, and Wolf can't drive the van and the moving truck...he's good, but we haven't cloned him yet

From Edm Drumheller is only 3 hours ;) Let's jsut say I live 2 hours from edm now but I usually do it in 90 minutes (I got pulled over a few weeks ago doing 140 down the yellowhead, the cop was nice he wrote me up for 130 which reduced the ticket by a lot).
