OrganicAnn
That song "Hallelujah" I finally looked up the lyrics, because I'd never really listened to them and then had to look of the meaning of the lyrics, then had to look up about the guy who wrote the song, then I youtubed the various people who have preformed the song. Just do not think of Sam Davis Jr sing the Candy Man or it will be stuck in your head for a good long while. Oh the Candy Man can cause he mixes it with love and make the world go round. kalanamak
"On a wagon, bound for market There's a calf with a mournful eye." I hadn't thought of that song for decades, but it came back to me this week. It is the Holocaust version of "Follow the Drinking Gourd". Guest Katia
This one has been going through my head non-stop all day yesterday and today: There's no place where You're not there, I'll never drift from Your love and care, There's not a thing about me that You don't know. The wings of the morning will take me to You, The blackness of night Your light will shine through, You're already there no matter where I may go. Even before I came to be Your loving eyes were looking at me You're even closer, closer than the breath I take. Mother and father, more than a friend to me, Beginning and ending and living of life to me, The song I find myself singing when I awake. So I will praise You, Lord I Praise You. Now, I praise You For bearing me up and giving me wings, For lifting my sights to heavenly things, For being the song I can't help but sing: Praise You. Look at me Lord, I'm open to you, Do anything that You want me to. You know me even better than I know myself. I'll be not afraid of what You can see 'Cause You know the person inside of me, I won't even try to hide what You know so well. Lord You've forgiven me for my mistakes, I want to be Yours whatever it takes, I've learned that life without You is no life at all. Failures and talents and schemes I bring to You, Aspirations and dreams I sing to You, I'll just be here waiting whenever you call. So I will praise You, Lord I Praise You. Now, I praise You For bearing me up and giving me wings, For lifting my sights to heavenly things, For being the song I can't help but sing: Praise You. I think this was written by Lanny Wolfe, but not sure. I have it on an album sung by Christine Wyrtzen; just not sure who to give credit to for these lyrics. Lovedtodeath
There lived a certain man in Russia long ago He was big and strong, in his eyes a flaming glow Most people looked at him with terror and with fear But to Moscow chicks he was such a lovely dear He could preach the bible like a preacher Full of ecstacy and fire But he also was the kind of teacher Women would desire RA RA RASPUTIN Lover of the Russian queen There was a cat that really was gone RA RA RASPUTIN Russia's greatest love machine It was a shame how he carried on
nd293
Fire and Rain by James Taylor. I've been thinking about old (80s) movies lately, and this one was in a scene that I really loved from the movie Running in Empty. I've seen fire and I've seen rain I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend But I always thought that I'd see you again That, and Better Together by Jack Johnson. Love is the answer At least for most of the questions in my heart , Like why are we here? And where do we go? And how come it's so hard? It's not always easy, And sometimes life can be deceiving, I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together I can't get either out my head. Must be in some sort of philosophical mood!
