danybug
Just a novel question, if there where no obstacles (i.e. money, jobs, etc, etc) where would you pick to travel to for a week in January? For my wild card pick, oh gosh there are just too many places, but I will go with Italy.
Daisy
Egypt. We are starting our geography study of Egypt in January. I went when I was sixteen and I'd love to show my children all the wonderful sites.

Wendi
I pretty much want to travel EVERYWHERE, but the first place that popped into my head was Uganda. I'd like to visit our church's "sister church", and also see the gorillas in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Wendi
nono
Nowhere. A week isn't long enough. :tongue_smilie: If you give me 9 or 10 days though, I'm out of here on Jan 2, and would head to Quebec City. Great place for a January vacation. Jann in TX
Uganda was first on my list...except it is in the rainy season...but at least it is still warm! My second choice would be Hawaii--but I just got back from 8 days there! (My first trip to Hawaii 10 years ago was in January--peek of whale season!). HSMom2One
If I had more than a week I'd LOVE to go to Africa. I have a dream of traveling there one day with my dd to meet a child we support and to stay with missionaries that we know in Malawi. But if I have to stick to only a week, then let's head up to Whistler BC or Lake Tahoe and have a fun snow vacation! Anybody else want to go? Jen in PA
Australia -- they have lovely fireworks on my birthday each January (not for my birthday, but on my birthday nonetheless). But for any other month the answer would be Scotland.

5knights3maidens
I would go (with the family), to a place that has mountains, lots of snow (with all the outside activities), with all indoor play, indoor swimming(for me while everyone is outside ;)), exercise rooms, tv galore, tons of food and desserts...with room service. Oh, and all the kids in their own rooms. ;)
creekland
Bonaire for the diving or New Zealand to explore, but a week is not much time to make it worth the long haul to New Zealand, so Bonaire would win. We're itching to get back under the water and the diving there is supposed to be spectacular.
