  1. try Crazy Action Contraptions by Klutz. I have used that book in a few coop lego classes.
  2. I got thrush/yeast and they cracked and just would not get better....so very painful. They did not get better until I figured out what it was and treated the yeast....so, I would suggest that she make sure that it is not something else. For me, they were cracked bleeding, but also a strange bright red color too.
  3. we make our own elderberry syrup....much, much cheaper than buying...and, although a bit messy, not too hard to do.
  4. BOUNTIFUL BASKETS is truly our lifesaver. truly. I am so thankful for it. Now we are munching on a box of pomegranates and a box of peaches. The poms are about 2/one dollars and the peaches are less than $1 lb; just to give you an idea. I just ordered a case of apples that is going to be less than 70 cents a pound.
  5. Your story is important, life changing for those around you. Thanks for sharing. Sometimes it is exactly what people need to hear to help with their own heart healing, or to help with tearing down the walls of judgements...many that we dont even know we have. What a brave move. It is important for these stories to have familiar faces. thank you.
  6. http://natepyle.com/seeing-a-woman/ I just read through some of the conversation about the Hall mom who wrote a letter to her teenage son's girl friends on facebook. This letter, I feel is valid food for thought in relation to that letter. What do you think? Emerald
  7. Thanks so much. I kind of remember from my oldest 2 that there is a review of the first 20 or 30, but just wanted confirmation. I am thinking of skipping the end of Saxon 1 and just starting into Saxon 2. I think this will work just fine for him....no problem if it is a beefy review. \\ Again thanks, I love that can ask a question like this a get an answer so quickly! e
  8. SORRY I AM ONE HANDED NURSING SO CAPS IT IS. HOW MUCH REVIEW IS AT THE BEGINNING OF MATH 2? THANKS!
  9. yeah I know what you mean, sort of.....it either is or isn't.......I suppose when speaking about billions I have a hard time believing that as truth, you know? My brain just cannot comprehend proof of such a number...and on the the side 10,000 is just as hard to swallow for me. The micro aspect of evolution I feel comfortable with...just not the macro. My husband says it is all the same thing....you just have to go further back. And honestly, I am skeptical and a bit paranoid about the scientists who claim to know the truth...I feel that there is ALWAYS an agenda...always; and I dont want an agenda. I want something that describes these ideas as hypotheses and keeps that line clean and not blurry. Does that make sense?
  10. I have sort of a strange question. Is there a science program/resource that is neither extreme creation nor extreme evolution....is there a middle road? Is that even possible? Are there any others out there, like me, that fall into this category? If so, how do you approach science? We are really planning on hitting science hard this year; whereas before I have been "vague"....now its time to get real... suggestions? Thanks a lot. Emerald
