momoftwoinga
When I'm stressed or having a really bad day I just play this song and it takes it all away. I swear I NEVER get tired of it. Do any of you have one?

helena
Ooooo! We love that song! The kids know it from Beatrix Potter DVDs. Karen O's Worried Shoes can cause a big sigh, a lump in the throat, and a much needed smile.

butterflymommy
This song makes time stand still for me-- I play it whenever I'm down. By the legendary Keith Green who died in a plane crash with 2 of his children at age 28.

ErinD
The one that does it for me is Genesis "That's All". It was the first song I ever heard on the first radio I ever owned and it makes me feel good whenever I hear it. Kind of funny, considering the lyrics. KirstenH
This is going to sound really weird but my song like that is "Lose Yourself" by Eminem. I warned you it was weird. Me too. We can be weird together. Also, the Shiny Toy Guns remake of "Major Tom" is an instant moodlifter for me.
Wheres Toto
Mine's not a song but an entire CD.... :blushing::blushing: The soundtrack for Buffy the Vampire Slayer "Once More With Feeling" episode. That episode came on at a very hard time in my life and for some reason, it always makes me feel like things aren't so bad.

july19
Whenever I'm stressed, or have let my ADD get the best of me, or feel down in the dumps after a particularly tiring day, I go to a solemn yet uplifting song - Sia, Breathe Me Makes me admit that I fumbled (I have a hard time with that), remember to breathe, and that another day will come to try again. =)

Tapasnaturalles
Oh... and if I need cheering up, I listen to this song: (it's in 2 parts) If I need cheering up very badly and the song doesn't do it's trick, I just watch the whole musical :D (I'm a crazy Starkid-fan... TeaTotaler
Thank you for posting this! Ds plays in our city's youth orchestra and in a local fiddle group - he enjoyed watching it with me. I will have to look for that CD at our library or purchase it. Attaboy from Yo-Yo Ma's "Goat Rodeo". The CD recording version is slightly different (and better), but this one's free for ya'll. NanceXToo
I love the song "Colors" by Kira Willey. It's on like a "yoga for kids" CD LOL but I think it's so pretty. I love the melody and the lyrics: I also love "Hallelujah," particularly the Jeff Buckley version: And Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What A Wonderful World by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole And for some reason I like "Handlebars" too :D I know, way different than my other picks. I agree with whoever said Breathe Me by Sia, too! Reminds me of the series finale of Six Feet Under which I loved. :D And I also agree with whoever said Lose Yourself by Eminem, but I like a lot of Eminem songs.
