Crimson Wife
Most of the HS families I know IRL have 1-3 kids. Only some of the Catholics and Mormons have larger families, and even then we're talking 4-6.

mommyrooch
I voted 1-2 but I've actually had 3. My 1st son passed away so I only homeschool 2 (one boy 1 girl) but I've technically had 3. Not a day goes by that I don't include my 1st son in my overall family count. :001_smile:

Jayne J
We've got three and plan to keep it that way. (I always thought I wanted lots of kids--I planned on 5 or so. Then I had baby number three and everything broke--my body, my sanity, and my ability to function any level higher than basic. So,three it is!) Pamela H in Texas
I don't know how to answer. I have two biological children. I have five foster children. Three of those foster children are likely staying forever. So do I have 2, 5, or 7 children? Well, regardless of the answer, we will probably add to it. HS Mom in NC
This was to see if the statements like these are true: 1. HS are mostly from religious groups that are anti-birth control. 2. Most HSers have more than the average number of children. 3. HSers think big families are better than smaller families.

Spock
I have 4, but don't know if I should click the 3-4 or the 4-5 why must there be 2 choices for 4? :D I had the same question. I ended up picking 4-5, for no reason in particular.
JeneralMom
I answered 4/5 - We have 4 right now, but #5 is due in April (I think) - haven't been to midwife yet. This was to see if the statements like these are true: 1. HS are mostly from religious groups that are anti-birth control. Atheist, and just sexually irresponsible :D 2. Most HSers have more than the average number of children. My group has anywhere from 2-5, with only one singleton. 3. HSers think big families are better than smaller families. No, I don't. We just happen to have and like our big family. If we had only had one, we would have liked that too.

Excelsior! Academy
I voted 8-9, but I only birthed 5. Most of my hs friends have 2 or 3. One has 7 and a couple have 4.
Heidi @ Mt Hope
I have 4, but don't know if I should click the 3-4 or the 4-5 why must there be 2 choices for 4? :D :iagree: I didn't notice that until after I clicked 4-5, though. But there is a *big* difference between 3 and 5. I probably should have clicked 3-4, since we almost stopped at 3 and now we are most definitely DONE.

mom31257
These polls are to see if generalizations I have heard non-Hsers make about Hsers are accurate. You've been starting quite a few polls about generalizations that non-HSers make concerning HSers. Are you doing research for something? Lucy the Valiant
4 here, but I went with the 4-5 option as DS5 definitely considers the dog a home schooled member of the family. :D (He tells everyone there are 7 people in our family.)
