  1. My quick fix: lavendar essential oil and chamomile tea.
  2. I love the hive. :) BTW, we will be using First Form Latin 1.
  3. Yes, this is part of why I need to cut back on something. This will be our main focus also, as well as latin and science. I love this idea, thank you!
  4. Thanks. I just needed some validation from the hive that I wasn't nuts for doing this!
  5. Exactly. :) Thanks, Elizabeth. I value your opinion, as I've read many of your posts over the past few years. I already have AG and I like what I see. If dd struggles with it, I can always fall back on R&S. Goodness, kids that finish 7th grade R&S have a better grasp on grammar than many college students.
  6. I'm thinking about doing this with dd next year in order to finally tackle Latin. We have attempted Latin on & off for the past 3 years. Dd has been working through R&S and CLE English through grade 5. She has a solid grasp of grammar thus far. Diagramming is a breeze for her. We have a lot on our plate this coming year and I really want to see her succeed in completing an entire year of Latin study. I'm thinking about dropping English/Grammar this year, and then picking it up again in 7th grade with AG. I need some advice - any thoughts??
  7. First of all... :grouphug: and more :grouphug:. Our dd's are the same age, and I know that I would share it with my dd. She would know something was up and would have more anxiety over not knowing the truth. HTH
  8. It's good through 5/29 on orders of $35 or more: 380315. :)

  10. Here's a few I've downloaded, but have yet to really work with. They look good though! Science 360 Planets National Geographic Explorer Color Uncovered - my dd loves this one
  11. Has anyone purchased Knowledge Quest's Wonders of Old Timeline Series apps? Can you give a review? Are they worth it? TIA!
  12. I have dd read about 1 hr: 1/2 hr. of lit, and 1/2 hr. of history or science (alternating). She also does a lot of free reading every evening. Sometimes she chooses a biography, etc. if she's really enjoying an area we're studying.
  13. Not Trish, but I'm wondering if she means this one: http://www.christianbook.com/great-covenant-testament-bible-course-children/claire-larsen/9781600510717/pd/61071X?event=WL&item_code=WW
  14. For my dd it was the Ramona series and then the Little House series. The Little House books also sparked a love for history.
  15. I added this to my wishlist at Christianbook last week while searching for curriculum. It looks really good! I didn't see the timeline set there though. I appreciate your link. Jesse, I appreciate your review also.
