When I took my 14 yo golden in, I went through the Starbucks drive through on my way home, as I was about to leave town. I was crying when the woman handed me my tea and explained why, and she gave me my tea for free. So I do think you will find plenty of sympathy even in the most unexpected places. If you have a lot of pictures, have your kids put a memory book together. It helps with the healing even if it does bring on a lot of tears.
